So, did this guy you're on about have what, 3 or 4 copies? Sweet. And he's sold them all?

Found this over the weekend, a Carlin Music Corporation, one-sided acetate of what appears to be “Without The One You Love” by the Four Tops & Supremes. It sounds a bit different to the released track to me. Does anybody else have a copy of this acetate to confirm whether or not it is indeed a slightly different version?

Another one bites the dust. It was no wonder why I only collected UK releases back in the day.

There's 8 copies ranging between $48 to $710 on CF I'd put it at around $400 to be honest. BUT, it depends on how patient and diligent you can be in order to nab a bargain over the long term. The flip's very good too.

Check out Popsike and Collectors Frenzy for what it's sold for recently. Not heard of it having been pressed. Well, not yet, anyway.

I hope I don't get myself into trouble with Juke Box Jam, or anybody else for that matter, but you have to think twice when you might be thinking they're 're-releasing' records for profit, when it could be for posterity. Just a thought. eg Now, I'm not saying I'm for it, or against it, just being the devil's advocate, to see what others think?

I've always found myself tipping my hat to the B-side, "I'm Gonna Make It". But like you said both sides are brilliant. Btw, this was one of Roger Eagle's 'favourite records' and got some plays down the Twisted Wheel.

If you're referring to my comments earlier Otis, I've already said, I'm not sure anymore. I'm pretty sure though that it wasn't either of the first two you mentioned.
