  3. I was just about to say the exact thing.
  4. Who produced these counterfeits?
  5. My understanding to date is that it meant the record had been deleted and couldn't be purchased any longer as a new release, only from second hand record stores. In that sense, providing the drilled hole isn't drilled in an inconvenient place, then I'd say it doesn't detract from the records value. Obviously, a minter, with no drilled holes, would no doubt be worth more.
  6. How much did it sell for Pete?
  7. Canadian? Or is that black?
  8. Didn't you say, if there's money in your PayPal account, then payment as Gifts is free. But if the PayPal account is empty, then payment has to come from your debit or credit card, for which you now have to pay a fee. Therefore, it would be a good idea if you could periodically keep your PayPal account topped up with monies from the card or Bank.
  9. Pete, Can you 'top-up' your PayPal account using a debit or credit card, rather than the funds coming straight from your debit or credit card. In other words, instruct PayPal to take say £100 from your debit or credit card and hold it in your PayPal account, creating credit in your PayPal account.
  10. See posting No.60 above.
  11. You mean the spoken intro was definitely not issued on the UK release, right?
  12. So I'd have a case if the customs sticker stated both gift and valued at $40?
  13. Is there truly a minimum figure for a gift after which a customs charge is made? If so, what's that figure? £40?
  14. Here's a slant on the above for you. Won a record on ebay for $4.99. P&p was $8. Total $12.99 Stupid tw@t in America put $40 as value on Customs sticker, incurring a £13.4 or $20 fee, including the £8 admin charge. Can't do anything about it according to ebay, except to report the stupid cnut, for which he will be reprimanded by ebay and given a warning not to do it again. That still leaves me $20 / £13.04 shy. Have written to the seller, via ebay and his personal email address. No reply. Oh, and I can't leave him negative feedback because I bought and paid for it back on the 29th November 2012 and it only arrived on 20th February 2013, way past the 60 days I have to leave feedback.
  15. Did you sell the Steve Arlen?
  16. Which is what I'm trying to alude to. Perhaps the black labels are issues after all. The silver 'A' indicates the 'plug' side. Just a theory.
  17. Perhaps we're all missing the obvious. Maybe the little silver A is there to indicate the 'Plug' side?
  18. I do collect American imports Dave. But my first love has always been UK labels. Sent you a PM.
  19. I'll drop him a line.
  20. Hey Jimmy, have you got, know anybody selling, or ever seen "Sing On Baby" by Meg Myles on UK Capitol?
  21. Wish it was in mine.
  22. It truly is a crackin' record Tony, one I was after a while ago but then forgot about it, what with so many other 'Wants' clouding my view. I'd value it more at £300 ish, never £500. Mr. H snagged a bargain I'd say.
