  2. I know SoulStu but I need a figure quick and I haven't got time to do it the hard way. I've always meant to do the valuation properly but it's like everyone else, haven't got time. I guess I'll have to wait until I retire to have the time to do it.
  3. Okay? Interesting responses. Keep them coming please. Obviously, I agree that to get an accurate average, you'd have to do what Bearsy said. I was just wondering what other people thought. A consensus of opinion if you like.
  4. If you had say 10,000 Soul / Northern Soul / R&B / records, of a widely varying value, what would you very roughly value the total collection at? For example, would you average out the value of each record at say £10, making the collection valued at £100,000? What average value would you use per record?

  8. Okay. I've been trying to find it on a 45, no matter what country, for some years now. I've even tried tracking down an acetate but with no luck. I have the UK release of the "Generally Speaking" so I can't complain.
  9. That's the Lp I was on about. Just forgot the name of the Lp for a moment and couldn't check as I was going out.
  10. Can you not make a sound file from the track off his Lp? Or is that not allowed? Or falls outside the rules of it having to be a 45 release, or unissued 45 release? Just askin' Dennis.
  11. Where's Gods Gift To Man General Johnson or did I miss it?
  12. Please Message me if you have one (or two) of each stating condition. Obviously, I'll pay postage and packing, and reasonable asking price, if required.
  13. Pretty sure Steve Hiscock has one. Not sure if it's for sale but you could ask him. Google 'Rhythm Lounge' or click the link https://www.rhythmlounge.co.uk/
  14. You know plenty about British Pete, it's the buyers you don't understand. That includes me too. Having said that, do these prices help increase the value of my collection? Perhaps just a little.
  15. Okay, my last chance then to remind you all to visit and sample the R&B sessions in the Redemption Room on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights at the Prestatyn Weekender.
  16. Hey, less of the ageist comments
  17. I don't think young Mr. Faye was saying that what he likes has anything to do with Northern, except to say that it was perhaps via the Northern scene that he got into R&B. It sounds like he now goes to R&B nights only, cos that's what he likes. He's just making an observation as to how he sees things, whilst pointing out that he thinks Northern fans look down on the R&B crowd, by the sound of it wrongly in his view. I thought his comments were quite valid to this raging debate and very well put for such a young lad.
  18. You wish. But not the case. Come and judge for yourself.
  19. Did you notice what was listed under the heading of 'Stylistic Origins'?
  20. So, see you all down at the R&B sessions in the Redemption Room this coming weekend at Prestatyn then?
  21. I'd advise everybody to watch this, it's brilliant
  22. Some can be categorised into more than one pigeon hole. Simples
