  1. I was thinking they were all yours, recently auctioned off. I thought, "blimey" what a great collection of records, and thought, "blinking heck", added all together, that's a lot of money.
  2. Did you auction these off on eBay mike? Is that why you've listed them here?

  6. Yes, I would say so.
  7. Good question To be honest, the Americans seemed more intent on getting rid of masses of Soul records back in those days, so I'd guess you'd be hard pressed to find too many mags, if any, covering Soul music specifically. I think it might have been a case of not knowing what they had before they lost it?
  8. When it comes to drug dealers and drug addicts, which came first, the chicken or the egg? I know . . . I'll call a taxi

  10. Okay Malcolm, thanks. If I can't track him down then I'll have to find some other way of finding out what recordings his dad did on acetates, as I have one here that may well be one of his.
  11. As a British label collector, I like red and white Demos too, who wouldn't. What I wouldn't like though is a whole collection of nothing but red and white Demos. That would be so boring.
  12. Yes, I remember that. I hesitated for a moment and lost out.
  13. Oh dear, I see. That's just not right. Luckily, for me, I just want some information about a possible recording his dad made in New York.
  14. Oh, have I touched a nerve? Sorry if I have. Was genuinely looking to source some information about a possible unknown recording by his dad. What's afoot?
  15. Bugger me, that's a 1979 reissue? Looks like an authentic early London release, until you look closer at the credits etc. Still looks amazing though.
  16. Need his latest email address please, if he can't be contacted on here.

  18. US or UK sleeves?
  19. Used to visit that place every other weekend, sometimes every weekend. Got some great Demos from there, including a Calum Bryce Demo on Conder for 10p. Sold it many years later for £500. I've also had some great records off Billy in the past too.

  21. I retracted that rather rash statement almost immediately, so I'd like a copy of that list too please Nick. :D
  22. To Premium Stuff and Mace: I know, I know, it was a rash statement, from the heart and not the head
  23. Nick hasn't even hinted at selling it yet, has he??? I know if it was me, I'd NEVER sell it. And I think I'd probably retire from collecting if I was the one to have found it. I mean, as a British label collector, what else would there be to keep me collecting???
  24. It's great innit Pete
