  1. That's one way of getting round the problem
  2. A-side is a cracker. It's just that bit in the middle that kills it stone dead for me. Have you heard his other on Decca? Not as well known and a little belter.
  3. God, he's everywhere.
  4. How the heck did Kama Sutra / Polydor have an instrumental version of the record, albeit a lot shorter time wise? Was it a UK production, where the instrumental and vocals were recorded separately then merged / mixed later?
  5. Whereas, I'd rather have the record without a centre on British (if found cheap enough), whilst continuing to look for a replacement with a centre, than not have it at all. And yet, I don't want it at all on American, if I know it came out on British. Not including recent releases aimed specifically towards our scene.
  6. So, it's not yours, it's hers?
  7. Until "WE" sell? Is it jointly owned Nick? Or was that a Royal "WE"?
  8. I'm not certain but I may have a copy. I'll check when I get home tomorrow night. PS - Just been listening to both sides on You Tube and realised I've definitely got a copy, of which I prefer the other side, "Where Did I Go Wrong", and the side that made me remember I do have it.
  9. Oops, Sebastian beat me to it
  10. Here you go 'purist', it came out on British; Fontana TF526 Marilyn Powell Please Go Away Where Did I Go Wrong Jan-1965
  11. Thanks Pete, that would be very much appreciated
  12. Oh, right, didn't realise that, thanks Pete. Now, where can I get to watch Levine's film?
  13. Thanks Pete, good to know But if they were a 'custom press' for Selectadisc by Polydor, what does that mean? Why didn't Selectadisc just ask Polydor to send them 300 copies of the vocal, which I think was on general release anyway. I realise you might not have all the answers but I can't get my head round this 'custom press' thing?
  14. That's not entirely correct, there are ways of telling the difference between the two, and apart from one little feature, it helps to have the vocal and instrumental side by side to spot the differences.
  15. What happened to those 300 copies Pete? Last I heard, there were just 6 known copies left.
  16. That's where I saw my first copy Joe. I think you might be right about it being Scandinavian.
  17. I'm convinced Richard, even before seeing the videos. The reason why? Because I know TWO people that I'd trust with my lifetime's collection, who are not on these social media sites and who simply don't go to venues anymore, anywhere. These two guys have had two separate, totally unrelated copies in their hands. For me, that's good enough, and I'm normally very suspicious of things until I've seen them for myself.
  18. That's common. You can't expect continuous publicity, it all has to settle down at some time.
  19. At least one Premiership team on Merseyside was up for it.
  20. I'm guessing you've had quite a few recently Paul? I'm also guessing that's why you've attracted their attention. Even you can't have that many family and friends all wanting to send you money all of a sudden, except perhaps around your birthday. You need to spread your sales out more so as not to attract their attention again. Having said that, they'll have their beady eyes on you know.
  21. I take it Part Two just lists singles from TMG 760 onwards, plus LPs? No EPs though?
  22. Wanted: Please PM me if you're able to help with any of the following. Nothing big, just records that have annoyingly eluded me over time. Marcels - Tell Me / Letter Full Of Tears - Chartbound label Don Covay - You're Good For Me / Truth Of The Lite - Landa Joe Hinton - Don't Tell Her The Truth - Dunhill Goldies Tommy Tucker - Hi Heel Sneakers - UK Chess 8086
