Joking aside, they found the people responsible, although neither the car nor the CD's were ever recovered!!!! i as Del pointed out, this CD really is the biz, not a duff track on this and a great introduction to Northern

  16. I first heard this on a sales tape from John Manship in the early 80's (along with Tony Middleton - Spanish Maiden, Tommy Navarro, Wilson Picket, Cashmeres ), picked up the CB 45 off Richard Domar, think I paid a tenner for it.. sold it on then rebought it last year off ebay.. both were handwritten dj copies..paid about $75 for my last copy it does show up on ebay, albeit, not very often. Have yet to hear this played out at a nighter, which sound great over a good sound system

  22. Originally from Essex, was in Bethnal Green for about 9 months.. had some great times then, what with Brick Lane just round the corner, living off curry and bagels
  23. Had this on a tape years back and I believe it to be an unissued track. Can anyone confirm this, did it ever get a release on LP or reissue 45? Thanks
  24. Hi Rich, I went to the Norfolk Village a few times in my early 20's as well - lived in Chambord Street in Bethnal Green (just off the flower market). I remember getting a copy of the Terry Callier 12 'dont wanna see myself', took it along and Terry playing it in one of his spots. He also remember his JFM radio show in the early 80's, think it was on a Monday night and used to play an hour of Northern soul alongside lots of 70's and classic soul. Probably still got some TDK's of these shows somewhere!!!! Great days Jon
  25. soundclip of both sides on JM's rarest of the rare.. been a few copies on ebay over past year.. https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/rarest-of-the-rare/32 Jon
