Great LP that one, Blowfly Disco Classics - does some great versions of 70's disco tunes, couple which spring to mind.. Spread your cheeks (version of Frankie Valli Swear to god) What a difference a lay makes (Esther Phillips) Bad *uck (Harold Melvin)..

Thanks Sebastian, I had this on an tape from John Manship years ago credited to the Fiery Spartons. Always assumed this was the cover up name! Picked up a copy of the Pic and Bill release on Charay for a few dollars of ebay a couple of years ago. I understand that some of the european releases of this aren't such a good recording as the US Charay issues. Definately in agreement with you with the quality and rarity of the P&B Charay release, I've only seen this for sale once or twice and it's always been expensive... Never seen the FS Charay issue, must be mega rare!!

So what's the consensus on the value of the Charay release of 'Talk about love'. I know it's not valued very highly in Tim Browns guide unlike their other Charay outing 'What does it take'. Can anyone give me realistic current value for this Thanks

That's not the LP - it's the 45 LP normally sells for about £50 on ebay

Came out on an LP titled 'Would you believe' on US Smash, also on Phillips. Got a reissue on 45 on Stardust which should be easy to pick up

found a bit more info on the Lescay label. Label was owned by a chap called Les Cahan along with Beltone and Leopard and operated out of 1650 Broadway NY. Joe Rene was the A&R man for the labels is also credited on the Vernon Harrel 45 as the producer/arranger. Hope this is of some use Jon
