Haven't heard the album so take your word for it but I was really referring to their appearance before they and Parliament started looking like this!

So it is (before they went all psychedelic & freaky ... which is why it didn't click) - the photo is the same one from the inside of gate-fold sleeve for their debut 'Free Your Mind' - and right enough whilst the album wasn't on the U.S. album chart is was featured as a new release ... but B&S didn't put a caption on photos so was scratching my head!

Found this photo of a band in an old Blues & Soul from 1970 with no caption and have no idea who it is. It's at the foot of the U.S. Album charts and have been through all artists in the charts but can't match with any of them so seems a bit 'random' - so wondered if any experts on here can identify them.

More early issues of Blues & Soul for sale from 1973 (#100) to 1976 (214). The first batch of issues are all VG/VG+ condition - no markings, tears or creases. They will will be double checked before sending 'just in case'. These are £5 each but negotiable if buying a lot. Hi Chalky - yes Sheila of 3 Degrees had solo recordings on Swan but RobbK suggested that Helen(a) Ferguson cut a record with Swan ... unless it's another Swan label ... but unlikely as Philly lady / Philly label ... or I'm getting the wrong end of the stick .... but the topic was originally about Helena/Helen Ferguson
