  5. When listening to Bob and Gene -I really really love you and Frankie Crocker-Ton of Dynamite.I think there are very close similarities in the backing.Due to the fact that both Bob and Gene and Frankie Crocker were from Buffalo N.Y. Could it be that Frankie Crocker got the idea from I really love you,for Ton of Dynamite. Any ideas on this one. Chris.

  8. I've always been a great fan of Darlene Love, personally I think she ranks among the Best of all Time.
  9. Like yourself I collected Motown white promos for many years,it's only now with what you said that I've found out that Truly yours exists on promo with a different flip.I always thought it was double A side only.
  10. Looking into it,I think it will be pretty damn scarce.Looks like I will be sticking with the stock copy for quite some time.
  11. Yes Rod you are right,Crime is the A side. The photo I've seen on the internet looks authentic but as I said maybe I am looking for the impossible, thanks for replying to me.

  17. I understand what you're saying and I think it's something that will always be debated.
  18. Dusty Wilson has a very distinctive voice,I've never believed that he is the singer in the Tomangoes.
  19. Whilst on the subject of boot legs, illegal pressings etc.Tommy Neal on both us Vault and uk vocalion come under that category.
  20. I know this has been talked about many times, but my opinion is that the palmer label was first and due to it being poorly promoted,Popcorn Weiley decided to do it himself.Hence came about the Pameline label,I also think the Palmer Stock copy is it's rarest format. Chris.
  21. Over the years when talking about Tommy Neal on Palmer, most people have said that it is promo only.On John Manships auction site this week he also states it as promo only. I always thought otherwise and recently found this on the net from a few years ago. Chris.
  22. Jimmy James for me too, followed by the Radiants.
  23. Don't know if it's already been done, how about the ojays versus the metros on I'll never forget you. Chris.
  24. It's amazing Gilly how one thing leads to another, this has all come from Tim posting the photos of Nabay and Dena Barnes on here. There is nothing I would like more than to meet up with you guys all together.Bring your photos and experiences with you,I will simply turn up and listen. Chris.
  25. I can imagine that Tim,I've read several articles about Bob Babbit,he also co wrote and produced Irene and the scotts stuck on my baby along with Mike and Ray.I also read that he slowly started to replace the Great James Jamerson at Motown, when James started becoming more and more unreliable.I think what eventually happened to James, was a real tragedy. Chris.
