  1. Were there two groups called the Epsilons.The reason why i ask this,is that when i read about the Epsilons who had mcfadden and whitehead in there line up,there is no mention of shrine or hem. Any help on this? Chris.

  4. When looking at George Smith -Pretty little girl,i see the writing credits are for George only.Yet Gene Chandlers version credits both George and Gene. Any ideas as to why this is. Chris.

  15. Sad news,many of the great mid tempo sounds that were played at stafford came over from the popcorn scene.
  16. It was a great time ed,my favorite night was when eddie parker and lorraine chandler came over.When eddie sang i'm gone it nearly blew the roof off the place. Chris.

There are several label variations of this,the original first press is on orange carrie,this is the rarest and quite hard to get hold of.Then there is jamaco,then mary jane.The orange carrie and jamaco have a brill flip entitled call me,both sides wrote by melvin davis. After the mary jane release is the green carrie which is a 70s reissue. The carrie and jamaco release are a different take to the mary jane release.

  20. Ive just looked on Darren Browns web site where he mentions meet me half way was a detroit recording. Although as darren says it was jack Taylors attempt at copying the motown sound,i always thought it was a New York recording.
  21. Thats a real pity Ady,unfortunatly not everybody sings off the same hymn sheet as you.We all know that you have always been fair to other people.
  22. Yes that would be great as i have wondered about all these sonic wax releases etc that Steve Jefferies is behind as to wether they have been licensed , correct royalties paid etc.
  23. Ok,i was going on what i had been told.With regards to the sonic wax release,yes it would be interesting to know whats behind that.
  24. Its quite a few years ago that i was told this and i cant remember who i had the conversation with,but i think it was a case of her not wanting herself or her father being exploited in any way.
  25. There is a photo of them on discogs,as you will see,they are an all white band.
