  1. Does look nice...talking of Phillipines...seem to remember some 60's Motown 78's? Sorry don't want to hijack.
  2. Do like a bit of falsetto and of course Eddie Holman is the epitome of the genre in my opinion for what it's worth. Mind you this band did ok with their number one album in 75 Here the link to Just One falsetto on iPlayer https://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/b01ktckz [media=] Weird......... just watched it and Yentob went from Eddie to Stylistics too!
  3. Always think it's like shopping at Harrods rather than Tescos....personally can only afford to shop at Tesco where (in time if you want to wait) you can get the same products a lot cheaper! Not sure if it was a crap analogy or not but Manships = Harrods and Soul Source/ ebay / facebook (a bit these days) = Tescos!! Bloody hell wish I hadn't started this shopping analogy now! I'll park me trolley and get me quid and bugger off! Mind you be nice to be able to afford to shop at raresoulmanharrods all the time!
  4. Didn't really think you were gonna rush out buy the cassette! Ms Montgomery had one of my fav voices ever! Good luck!
  5. https://www.ebay.co.u...=item231c9a206c At least it's not a CD or mp3!
  6. Got the TJ Williams at the the price I wanted to pay. As for the Jimmy Fraser..not a massive fan of the record and do like it and just one historically I should have really. Gather you mean Youth Opportunity Programme featuring Jimmy Fraser with letter etc as regards the offer. To be honest good old common Columbia demo be fine! and aesthetically it works for me!
  7. Jimmy Fraser - Of Hopes And Dreams And Tombstones and T J Williams - Baby I Need You Good Soul Source prices please Cheers Mark
  8. Hi Hi Mr Woosnam! Remember attending a do when I was living in the smoke with Keb DJ'ing at the Limelight in Cambridge Circus in 1989, think by which time he'd sold all his 6T's mafia stuff due to divorce! Think by then he was moving toward his funk era? Jonesy (Mark)
  9. Recorded on the trusty old VHS! Then a few years later to youtube! Did I get the year right then 87? Bit later maybe? Wasn't there that night, attended a few but wouldn't call myself a regular thus the vagueness!
  10. I wonder if you knowledgeable people can tell me anything about this tune I recently purchased on a rather knackered double sided bell sound test pressing. Jesse Gee - Give me some loving [media=] The other side of the acetate is funky feet which came out on OTG label (873) with "Two Women" on the B side (1973 release?). Nice little tune...not gonna set the soul scene on fire for sure but just wondered on the tune's history? No replies so is it a one off maybe?
  11. Continental four - Way I love you (Jay Walking 009) Total minter! In fact never played by looks of it (not even by me!) Bought a few off Craig Moerer a while back. £2 postage (paypal as gift please.)
  12. Craig Moerer has one Dave $100 also 2 more on evilbay https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=Skip+Mahoney+-+Town+Called+Nowhere&_sacat=11233&_odkw=Choice+of+Color+Your+Love&_lncat=0&_osacat=0&_from=R40

  19. Yep Pat Lewis - Peace of mind. Happy Stafford memories...still adore this!
  20. I was thinking about the Dells in 98 at Trentham Gardens when I decided (not for the first time) to google them. Apart from the 3 part documentary (which is awesome in it's own right) I found the radio documentary below. A real insite into their life back in the day when racism was such a way of life in the U.S.
  21. Quite right too...all they good for and it is the weekend!
