Bloody ridiculous would be mine...are we becoming train spotters? Seems a bit sad to me....along with 50 year old blokes wearing tank tops and flares...always gets my back up for some reason. Think I'll stick with the vinyl myself. Then again I might get my old allnighter bag out of the attic and put it on ebay as I wouldn't be seen dead at 42 carrying it anymore......25 year old badges on it or not!

as my original post said mine isn't checkered just totally black and shiny...almost like a mirror! Not touched by the press at all.

Got this about 20 years ago on my very first trip to U.S (at the humble age of 23)....nothing spectacular..just a very worn copy (well label is but vinyl ok) of The "Sapphires - Who do you Love" Swan 4162 Demo from 1964. But the unusual thing about it is the back is a totally blank white label and even weirder devoid of any grooves....just shiny plastic!! When really I thought I would see a b side of "Oh So Soon" Not interested in value just more curious really, has anyone else got one or can anyone tell me a little about why it's single sided? Early release to Radio stations maybe? Been meaning to ask since I got it back in 1986!

Can't believe nobody has mentioned this awesome track from '85. Just total class and unmistakably Oscar! was first introduced to the track by my mate the late Steve Plimmer from Shrewsbury. He just had one of those unique soul voices which you instantly knew who it was. Couldn't possibly be anyone else but Oscar Perry. Sadly missed, one of my all time heros! We're Gonna make it - oscar perry - quazar 102 13632 refosoul 1985 and total class!

Oh The Lucky Charms! So takes me back to the Oddfellows allnighter in Leicester...happy times. Was the big record for The Rev Tony Clayton (features on my website too)....fab allnighter....my fav after Stafford where of course Tee Fletcher was a big sound for Keb!

Whilst we are on the subject of 78's, anyone know anything about some 60's motown 78's released in the far east? Sure I remember reading something about it.

Yeh was Deffo Keb "Shit Hot" Darge who played it at TOTW Stafford. Remember it well, loved the record at time and I was fit enough to dance to it too then! Was a bit of "New Sixties" fan at the time following Keb and Guy around like the proverbial lap dog! Sure I've got it on a live Stafford tape I did at the time somewhere...will try and dig it out and listen to all the scots expletives again! Here's a quick sample too for those who don't know it. Love the record and still a relative cheapy. Can't believe nobody has mentioned a slowie I still adore to this day and have had it nearly 20 years! Joey Gee - It's More than I deserve (ABC) Loved this since I heard Mr Brady play it in the early eighties, think it was at one of The Hinckley Allnighters when I first heard it. I just had to have it!
