What a fantastice selection, at least three quarters of these used to get plays at Terry Davis' Wheatsheaf nights in the Kings Road, London in the early 70s. Memories

I'm told that TB rates Flowers "For real" at £100, is it right that's what it says? Manship has £450, but I've only ever seen one for sale at £500 some 3 years ago. Surely they are both way out aren't they? I've heard rumour of closer to 4 figures.

At the time of the Torch, I seem to recall buying Hot, Buttered Soul and Shout, although neither were what you could call totally Northern. They cost around 30p so that would have been 1971-73.

I'd just like to point out that Solid Hit Soul on 11th is run by Gene Robertson and not by SITC, although Dave and Martin DJ there too. Music policy is different too. If you want oldies you might want to refer to Gene's post about the new night.

Used to get the odd bit of good clapping at TOS albeit by much smaller numbers, what a pity that it'll soon be no more. I can only make the last 1/2 hour of the last one due to DJing at Hidden Secrets mores the pity.

On the subject of Al Green, his version of the Bee Gee's "How can you mend a broken heart" from the "Let's stay together album is f*cking awesome.
