  1. I can probably scan some pictures from LPs & a pic cover I have if that's any use Rob. Let me know. Paul
  2. You've come to the dark side at last Col! Quite a bit of midtempo 60s early doors at Soul in the City. New venue announcement shortly (I hope).
  3. The "sample" is from Keni Burke "Rising to the top".
  4. This is from: VARIOUS ARTISTS TAMLA MOTOWN FROM THE VAULTS from 1979
  5. Went for £506 on Ovenchip's auction not too long ago!
  6. The Drifter by Don Charles on Parlophone is good too.
  7. Beat ballad - Givin' up on love - Sonny Childe - Decca Stomper - Stop & you'll become aware - Helen Shapiro - Columbia
  8. Cracking record from 1969. Scan attached.
  9. I have this one in M- : Key-loc Casino Royale - Get Your Self Together Make me an offer.
  10. Try Voices website https://www.soul45.com/
  11. Just played the Wilson Pickett 45 mentioned earlier and there's quite a noticeable drop in volume about a third of the way through. Maybe this fault caused the 45 to not actually make the shops. The above is a nice uptempo track whilst the flip is great Deep!
  12. Don't think this is rare, just obscure. I've had 3 demos and 1 issue in the past year. Voices had an issue on their website recently.
  13. Warren - do you mean McKinley MITCHELL?
  14. Hi Ian Guess you mean this one: PHILLIPS, ESTHER ATLANTIC 4077 I COULD HAVE TOLD YOU / JUST SAY GOODBYE 100 150 60 100 75 80
  15. Sorry the Wilson Pickett isn't for sale. Just be careful if collecting UK Mowest, Prodigal and Rare Earth for their Motown links. So much is complete garbage!
  16. Definitely exists - I have one - a date stamp demo. PICKETT, WILSON ATLANTIC 584173 THAT KIND OF LOVE / I'VE COME A LONG WAY
  17. More like £200 - 300 for an issue copy. Demos deffo cheaper.
  18. Agreed with the Dells esp The love we had - fantastic deep soul. Stay in my corner is fabulous too, the goose pimples and hair standing up on end when Marvin Jr hits that real long "Stay" is a feeling that few records manage to match. Here's a few more from me: HOUSTON, EDDIE CAPITOL 2170 THAT'S HOW MUCH (I LOVE YOU) GREEN BERETS UNI 55186 (LORD) SEND ME SOMEBODY AL GREEN HI LP HOW CAN YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART WILLIAMS, LEE SHOT JEWEL 839 BABY, BABY
  19. Light blue Dj - KEEP
  20. £80 - 100 on major dealers' lists.
  21. It was pressed by Sony to promote a CD compilation last year. It's a UK release. Value £5 approx. You coming to Soul in the City tonight Kenny?
  22. This is the promo 7" for a recent CD comp. BELL, ARCHIE & DRELLS SONY 504676251 A THOUSAND WONDERS / HERE I GO AGAIN
  23. Someone alleged to me that TB's guide was rushed out to meet a deadline and wasn't fully updated from his database.
  24. Don't use more than the equivalent of £18 for customs value or you'll get hit for VAT(@ 17.5%), Import duty and their very nice handling charge for charging you. Vintage 45s don't count as antiques apparently according to the PO and HM Customs & Excise.
  25. Hmmm, If I was female this is where I would slot in the bit about packets of frozen peas, eh Jo?
