  1. Get well soon mate!
  2. Yes Geoff's bringing some CDs!
  3. I certainly heard the Cigarette Ashes £180 story, either at the Wheatsheaf or from B&S. Don't know whether it was true or not though.
  4. Actually I think it may well be. There were always a lot of copies of the Stax sky blues in and around London markets up to the 80s and all new unplayed. Never saw the same kind of thing with EMI Stax though.
  5. I did very well then!
  6. Why don't you tell us what you want for them - might tempt people a bit more.
  7. Hmmmm are you sure? Never seen one.
  8. I sold a spare issue via John to a second bidder a couple of years ago for £180 less commision Dave so not surprised the demo reached this, especially with Xmas approaching.
  9. I have Flowers "We could make it happen" with a solid centre. Don't think many copies are like this - maybe only 5 or 6.
  10. Pete Smith has one of these on his list a couple of months ago, struggled to sell it as I remember.
  11. Don't be afraid is LP only.
  12. Yes £2 was a bargain, but don't forget that all the Djs gave their time for free for PTPs 50th birthday. Most of us don't get paid too often anyway. At Soul in the City we always paid our guests, except at our All Dayers which were either free entry or in aid of charity and that included the likes of Kenny Burrell and Ady Croasdell! When turnouts are poor I've waived any promised fees as well. It's nice to get paid and most promoters do pay when they have a healthy turn out. I've only been to one do this year which I thought was overpriced but it was still a reasonable per hour cost. £10-12 for an all nighter isn't bad all things considered.
  13. Original 60s red & white or 70s green?
  14. Mines not! Will try to post a scan later.
  15. Anyone else have one of these with the surname spelt Ouestell ? Or is this the reason for the scarcity of the issue?
  16. The instrumental "Scramble" is pretty good - well worth looking out for.
  17. UK only 45 Paul on Action 4532 (swirl label).
  18. Yes Dave it's a good record but don't go telling Dave you've played it out - after all it is 70s
  19. £5 - £10 I would say Dave though have seen it listed for more, £20 being the highest.
  20. Only if you stand by with the oxygen bottle and defibrillator and wear a Carry On film style nurses outfit Val!
  21. Freddy Butler and the Hesitations are terriffic too!
  22. We didn't know Lesley, but heard the news in Dublin on Friday night and could see how the news devastated Karen. Our sincere condolences to Lesley's family and friends. Paul & Helen
  23. Cheers D'arcy. I have a box of VHS videos at my Dad's house from before I got divorced in 1997. It might be on one of them. I'll have a look at some stage. In the meantime if anyone else knows where to find a copy.......
