  1. Just as a matter of interest which issue of P&B is it? Instrumental B side or Good good lovin'?
  2. Win, Don't you mean places where you've been but the reviewer was obviously somewhere else - "packer" etc etc.
  3. Label design was used in the UK as well for Tappan Zee records.
  4. Here's a few more Chrissie: Doris Troy - Please little angel - Atlantic Barbara Lewis - Thankful for what I got - Atlantic Barbara Lynn - You'll lose a good thing - Atlantic Holly Maxwell - Only when you're lonely - Constellation Barbara McNair - It was never like this - Warner Bros
  5. Sounds a bit like Mel Waiters "Got my whisky" in parts.
  6. Mine one's nice and Minty Jon!
  7. MASON, BARBARA ARCTIC 154 DJ YOU BETTER STOP IT / HAPPY GIRL Last one I saw on a dealers list was £200 from Shifty and £152 finishing price on Ebay.
  8. Thanks for the link Ian. Rather sketchy on facts that article though. Weren't there four Supremes/Primettes to start with. No mention of Betty Martin. Was Flo the founder? Mary Wilson, having been introduced as the founder of the Supremes was quick to deny that comment the other week at the V&A and made reference to all the other girls. When asked about money she said that that was the way the industry worked then and that she had no dispute with Berry Gordy. Still you can't beat a good conspiracy story eh?
  9. Hmm .... Not my cup of tea. Don't see this as Northern Soul at all JT. All IMHO of course.
  10. Here's some more: Esther Phillips - Nobody but you - Roulette Antoinette - Lullaby of love - Piccadilly Dottie and Millie - Talking bout my baby / Nothing in this world - Topper Carol & Gerri - How can I find a way / On you heartache looks good - MGM De Vons - Someone to treat me - King Sugar Pie DeSanto - My illusions - Soul Clock
  11. Here's a few to consider Chrissie: Bonnie Herman - Hush don't cry - Columbia Joannie Sommers - Never throw your dreams away - Columbia Rosalind Madison - Neighborhood girl - Liberty Star Treks - Gonna need magic - Veep Annabelle Fox - Lonely girl - Satin Dee Edwards - You say you love me - Tuba Marion Stewart - I must be losing you - R
  12. Sorry to hear that Annette. Hope you're feeling better! See you at Dru & Ady's party? P&H
  13. All stamped I think Joe.
  14. Hi Ian We were there and found Mike R waiting for you outside phoneless. Great show wasn't it. Ms Wilson is obviously the complete entertainer. Great stuff! Many thanks for the tickets Jo and hope you're feeling better this morning.
  15. £251 was the final price. "AS FAR AS INDIE CROSSOVER SOUL GOES, THIS IS ABOUT AS OBSCURE AS YOU CAN GET! A PROVEN RARITY THAT HAS YET TO FULFIL ANYWHERE NEAR ITS FULL POTENTIAL. AN ASTUTE PURCHASE FOR ANY FORWARD-THINKING DJ OR COLLECTOR" Is this rare? I bought mine for £8 a few years back from Voices list - pretty sure it was a front page record.
  16. That's a beer you owe me Martin!
  17. One for sale here: https://www.record-dealer.com
