  1. I think the UK limit is £15. Above that you get charged VAT (Inc on the postage) at 20% and above about £120 import duty, oh and £8 for the pleasure of being charged. I buy quite a lot of books from the States and luckily don't get this hassle as they're VAT free.
  2. An old Soul in the City play for Martin Thomson - always ahead of his time......
  3. Paypal definitely had a problem earlier today with payment failed messages even though the payment had been made. Only found out because an honest seller refunded me. Phoned Paypal and berated their compliance and regulation dept for not informing their customers of the problem The FSA should look into this.
  4. There's a fantastic unreleased version on the recent Kent Spinners CD too!
  5. You're right Chalky! I wasn't out and about back then, but had been collecting since the late 6ts and had never heard of the LP until I listened to the tape. I'm probably not the only one!
  6. OK thanks John, 45 doesn't mention Memphis, and no Brown listed among the producers, although there is as Engineer and Mixer.
  7. Anybody know anything about this one: BROWN, RANDY SHARP MOUTH 2 MOVE ME / PART 2
  8. I went to NYC with Mark Houghton in 2011, I came back with 500 45s from shops and fairs and Mark had a not dissimilar quantity too. Got an Internationals on D'Ar for $4 and a Dusty Wilson for a bit more. So still possible Russ.
  9. Many of the nowadays more desirable TM LPs were sold from Woolworth bargain bins for 14/6d around 1968/9 when the mono issues were deleted. At the Woolies in Oxford St where I worked Saturdays as a kid had multiple copies of all the lesser known artists eg Brenda Holloway, Fantastic Four, Spinners, Monitors etc. I bought most of these out of my £2 wage. There were multiple copies of the MLK album as well but nobody wanted that as it was spoken word - so they were probably almost all trashed. Paul TP - you're right there were 3 Motown Memories albums. I still have them all except the BH which I sold, but luckily soon replaced with the even rarer stereo copy.
  10. Blimey Carole, I thought my luck had changed!
  11. Hi Looking for a M- copy of this. I'm aware of the Steve Jeffries copy @ £100. PMs please with total price inc postage etc.. Thanks for looking Paul
  12. Found it! Why are they always in the last box you come across?
  13. I can Ady (if I can find the bloody thing!)
  14. The ones I "hired" were from Chris Savoury's collection, sold on Ebay. A mixture of boots (sold as originals) and poor condition records. If the same "Record expert" did the grading I would expect more of the same condition wise..
  15. Hope the gradings were better than the ones they sold on Ebay!
  16. Same from me Ady - see you later!
  17. Thanks Dean and John. It hit the mat this morning!
  18. Is it actually out yet Dean as not received my copy yet?
