The 3rd December celebrates our 1st Anniversary with the welcome return of Blake Helliwell & Wayne Parkinson aka Dale Plummer who I'm sure will help us celebrate this milestone in style, if you've not checked us out yet it's well worth a visit & to all our regulars you know what to expect, with this good stuff we use, how can we lose [now which song is that from] It's gonna be a good one.

After the success of our first five events & in our relentless quest to give you the best guest D.J.'s around, we welcome Taddys very own Pat Bleasdale & Arron Adams, We hope to see as many old friends & new ones as possible for this great afternoon of Soul music, you know it makes sense.

A date for the Diary, we're back on the 6th August for another spectacular afternoon of soulful delights, our guests are Jackie Jackson & John Postill so you know it's gonna be good 'un. See you all there for another fabulous soulful day.

And so it all continues, onwards and upwards into our 6th year at the Ivory Bar....Sunday the 14th of May is the Date of our next Event for those wishing to make early Hotel reservations, and don't forget the Ivory Bar is right next door to the Travel Lodge and a variety of excellent lodgings, no taxis or long walks required with great Rail links via York or Leeds its just 5mins slow walk from the station. Leeds to Ripon No 36 Buses almost pass the door with a good late night Sunday Service.... Our Guest DJ for May 14th is the very popular DEAN ROACH, we are so pleased he has accepted our invitation, despite his youthful good looks Dean has a long association with the Soul Scene especially in his Homeland of South Yorkshire, he is one of the Motors behind the nationally Acclaimed "Soul not Dole" Weekenders with a pleasing blend of top shelf tunes and a nod to his Cleethorpes roots...Don't worry Dean knows how to please and keep you on your feet....

Playing the best in soul music - all on vinyl. We can be found at the Ivory Music Bar, 2 The Ginnel, Harrogate, HG1 2RB. The events run on selected Sunday afternoons on a bi-mothly basis. Not only will you hear some great music all played off vinyl, you can enjoy the fabulous selection of drinks that are on offer - plus special drink promotions when available.

'Movin' On A Groove' Sunday Soul Chill-Out Playing the best in soul music - all on vinyl with resident DJs and our guest DJ for the afternoon will be the very popular Sean Tasker. Sean began his soul journey back in the 70’s at a local youth club in Northallerton, then progressed to dancing to the 3-4 “northern” that were played at a local disco… Cherry People, Free for all, Love you baby - Eddie Parker, etc. Eventually visiting Wigan for the first time in 1977, igniting a lifelong passion for great soul music. Along the way, he attended The Oval Ball - York, The Blinking Owl - Boroughbridge, Annabella's - Harrogate, Manchester Ritz, Sheffield KGB, Morecambe Pier, and most of the big weekenders. Sean collects everything from 60’s oldies/rarities, 70’s moldies, Crossover, Deep soul, big beat ballads and he even owns a few house tracks. Sean says he is really looking forward to 'Movin' On A Groove' and is already thinking about what he’s going to play…take a look at his playlists on the Playlists site and let him know if you have any requests.
