Absolutely true. It was filmed by Ian and Angie Wills daughter ( sorry, can't remember her name) and shown to me at the Spitfire Club in October. I tried a few of the moves but thought my existing ones were better.

I recently had the misfortune to be shown a video of Mrs Russ Winstanley giving a 'northern soul' dance tutorial, filmed somewhere in Wigan☹

Dropping a load of dancing helpers before arriving at the Blue Orchid only to find it closed! Other than Les Cokell, I can't remember who else was there ( it was either the Huddersfield Boys or maybe the Preston Boys who Les would pick up on the way. Spent the night in a motorway service station being stared at by some unknowing (fortunately) motorway traffic police.

Instant floorpacker for DJs In lovely EX+ condition. Jeanette plays absolutely mint. B side has a little crackle at the start but you aren't buying it for this side! THERE IS A TINY CRACK RUNNING FROM THE LABEL EDGE INTO THE DEADWAX. THIS DOES NOT REACH THE GROOVES AND THEREFORE DOES NAP. IT'S VINYL SO NO PRESSURE CRACK TO WORRY ABOUT. I'M SURE IT WON'T WORSEN BUT MAYBE GETTING YANN VATISTE OR SOMEONE SIMILAR TO 'FIX' IT MAY BE AN OPTION. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS. Looking for offers by PM. It was the 12th December 1970. Dave sent me a postcard dated 9th December stating this. Both sides of my postcard are printed in Rob McKeever's book ' Whitworth Street, Manchester. I still have it , so could do scans if required.
