Help needed please. I have a stock copy with A-23115-2 ( I would say heavily scratched) in the deadwax BUT I can't see any other markings although the deadwax does have a few bubbles in it. 10mm deadwax width. Mr Manship states that the originals have A-23115-2 and also AT with an S and CR in the deadwax and the bootlegs have A-23116 - SP I'm a bit confused to say the least!

Went there during a few summer holidays late 60s/early 70s along with the likes of Les Cokell, Flash, Tubby from Accrington ( all RIP) all the Keighley, Skipton, Preston and Accrington boys. Also Mrs B was there as well (obviously not Mrs B at the time!). Some of the above were very good at late night visits to chemists which made for some great nights Happy days

When we returned to the 'scene' around '98 we went to a local soul event with Judi and Alan (RIP) Pollard. One of the promoters said to my wife something along the lines of "who are you, why are you here, what do you know about soul music?" She looked him straight in the eye and said "sorry, who are you? I don't remember you from the Twisted Wheel". He beat a hasty retreat!! To be fair, he did later apologise and he and his wife became good friends.

I always thought that if you had a 'big bang' then the result would be expansion in all directions, like a bomb blast or drop of water into a puddle etc. Can anyone please explain why we can look back 13 billion years to nothing/ creation of the universe but there does not seem to be anything on the 'otherside' of the bang? Sorry if I'm being stupid. I am genuinely interested in the answer.

See it on ebay as well. Unsold and relisted at higher prices. Both UK and US sellers!

Which side would you request? Might play it at Hitsville Mojacar in September!
-
My copy has not seen the light of day for 15+ years!

Think it was the first time I'd spun it in 5+ years. As I said, it was a request. Hope you're well Julian

Hi guys and gals. As discussed, I'm going to play a selection of UK original issues on the night. Classics, Wheel, Tamla, Stateside, Cameo Parkway, Capitol, London, alternative versions etc. Maybe even a few 70s!! Sorry, no imports on the night. Really looking forward to the night and seeing you all. Cheers Julian

I took Simon Soussan along with Chris Tipping who financed his trip (His dad owned an engineering company in Leeds called Tipco Tools on Gelderd Road) and a so called 'minder' who couldn't fight his way out of a 'wet paper bag!' to the Cats just after he returned from the States with his brown leather suitcase full of his 'finds' ( I was at Chris' apartment when Simon arrived there and opened the suitcase for the first time!) Bloody wonderful experience Obviously I knew lots of punters there but the atmosphere got a bit tense and we ended up 'legging it' out of there. I did remonstrate with Graham Warr, Pep etc when next I saw them. Anyway, we beat a retreat up the M6 to the Torch and as they say, the rest his history.
