  1. How do you know that charging to list records here will eliminate the lists of over-priced, constantly re-listed records? It certainly hasn't stanched the flood of crap on ebay!
  2. Have you tried here? https://roughtrade.com/albums/80731
  3. Good to know you've still got it in you, friend!
  4. Just re-list it, Pete. E+, small hairline, NAP.
  5. Are you saying the catalog number is used twice? What's the other release with the same number? The record I have is: Deep City 2367 Moovers "One little dance" / "Someone to fulfill my needs".
  6. What makes you think it might not be legit? Mine also came from someone involved with the label and it looks like all the other records I have on Deep City.
  7. Here's another clip from the show: https://youtu.be/i2wtYsklolk
  8. Yes, he did "I'm Uptight", "Since I met you", "Do whatcha wanna do", "You dropped your candy in the sand", "I was a fool", "Hole in your soul", "Stick tight", "Give me your heart". Richard, what else did he do? Did he do the flip to "I was a fool"?
  9. The band at the Dig Deeper events is helmed by the incredibly talented JB Flatt. He does a fantastic job of creating arrangements for the musicians that come very close to replicating the sound of the original recordings. You should have heard the band perform Gene Toones' "What more do you want" last month! Sadly, Mr Toones himself wasn't able to perform, but the guest vocalist (Eli Paperboy Reed) did a commendable job.
  10. Here's a little clip from the show last night. Richard, Lynne, Michael, and JB really need to be commended for all the work they put into the Dig Deeper shows every month. No normal promoter would do this kind of thing month after month. Who'd have believed you'd ever see Paul Sindab perform all of his "hits" live?!
  11. Sadly Mistaken "Golden Earrings" (Marc/Challenge). After the too-long intro, it turns into a pretty good record
  12. Might sell my copy for the right price.
  13. I saw his name on the LP credits, but dismissed the idea of his being the writer based on the fact that the song was so different from the others. But now that you mention it, I guess he may have been involved. I've just sent an email to someone via his website to see if they recognize the track. Thanks for the suggestion.
  14. It's unlike anything else in the film. And it's not on the soundtrack LP, which contains mostly fuzz guitar tracks by the likes of Davie Allen and the Arrows and Max Frost and his Troopers. Mike Curb is credited on the film score, but I'm not familiar with most of his output. Was hoping someone would say "oh that's the backing track to..." To my ears, it's certainly got the right sound to have been spun at a northern venue, if it was ever released. And it certainly sounds good enough to have been released.
  15. Just watched an old Dennis Hopper film from 1967 called Glory Stompers and to my pleasant surprise, this instrumental track popped up towards the end. Can anyone tell me what it is? I found the soundtrack for the film, but this track doesn't appear to be on it. https://youtu.be/97Yom7n5ULI
  16. I see on Discogs that there is a "wants list" function. As a seller, can you notify/alert the people who have listed your records as wants that you have a copy available to sell?
  17. one of my favorite records is "Girl lacrosse the street"
  18. It's when everything about a girl looks good, "but her face"
  19. Spoke with Ray Davis (Del Larks/Parliaments) about her many years ago. All he could remember about her was that she was a girlfriend of George Clinton's. He also said it's the Parliaments who sing harmonies on the record, and although he said he hadn't sung the song since the day it was recorded, he was able to sing the words to it over the phone for me.
  20. I had a white promo of the Festival release that had the date Dec 29, 1966 written on it. Presumably the date it was received by the radio station on it's initial release.
  21. The one Manship had at Cleethorpes all those years ago was for show only. If it had been a set-sale, I would have bought it that day. But John said it was going into his auction at a later date. When it finally appeared in his auction several months later, I spoke with John and put in what I thought was a very competitive bid, but ultimately it sold to someone else. I think John told me it was Keb Darge's copy, and I don't think it was a demo. The copy I eventually secured a couple of years later (and still own) is a black and silver DJ copy. I ended up getting it from a local New Jerey dealer and paid less than I bid on the copy Manship auctioned.
  22. This is a toughie. What do you want to pay for one?
  23. The Bracelets record also comes out as the Bluebelles on Rainbow. Same recording. I have a M- copy of this for sale. PM me if interested.
  24. I've had this record before. It is most definitely a late 60's or very early 70's production and release. I would lean towards 1969 as the likely year. There is no way this is from the 1980's or even the mid to late 70's.
