  8. Who brought this obscure record to Germany in the first place? And then convinced EMI that this was perfect for the "super disco sound" series along with all the other super disco sounds of 1975?

  14. I know this story was from a soul venue in UK where people know, or should know the "rules". But what about the younger people around the world that are just getting into soul music? If there are a lot of "legal" reissues (Jazzman, Tramp etc.) and lots of illegal bootlegs around for almost nothing, how will you explain to them that it's much better to buy the "same" record for ten times more...
  15. Hi there Denbo
  16. £150 at Manship.... Would love to see a price here myself, should be "rare" but a fiend just bought it for $18!
  17. That's a awesome record, good to hear that you are playing it Steve
  18. Should'nt be more than maximum £30
  19. Which issue? The deep, deep one on Musicor, or the later "x-over" version on Gate?
  20. Got a soundfile of that one
  21. Agree, great version! Would not mind a copy! Anyone? BTW, have you heard hip hop artist Commons "Play your cards right"? It's a track from the film "Smoking aces" where he sample J. Bataans "under the street lamp". When I heard it the first time I thought, what the f***, I know this... I'm not a big hip hop fan, but it's ok IMO Have a look here at a live performance: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xzbw8_com...our-cards-right
  22. Remember Vegas, you'll find this on both styrene and vinyl! And the way you are scratching and beat mixing your records, you need the vinyl copy Ps. Thanks for a great x-mas party!
