I'm sure you all would take good care of this guy I promised to find a good northern soul club up north which has been running for some time and which is well attended. I only know 100 club, never been up north before.. He asked for this weekend, but it can be within a month.

Just got a call from a journalist from a Norwegian news paper. He wants to go over to UK to write an article about Northern soul. He asked me where to go, what has been running long and so on. I told him to go to 100 club, but he also wanted to go north, so, what is the "biggest" soul club in the north? He wants to go to both 100 club and a club in North. If possible the first weekend coming up.

I think this is a UK "thing" to have the soul music divided into separate genres and sometimes rooms. In a way I can understand it since it has it's origin there, but in Norway we've only have one therm and that is soul. For us that is northern, R&B, funk, x-over, modern, latin soul etc. and nobody care, or maybe I should say that they don't know any kind of separation. IMO it's refreshing to hear different sounds at a long night

No problem Kev, I can see (now) that if we should have the name of all happenings/nights it could be a long tread. And I really didn't know that there was at least 50-60 nights going on in UK What about Germany, Spain, Italy....?
