Crossover Soul
Thanks Sean, this is what I've always thought it was, but the sound that Rod Dearlove at Thorne is trying to describe, could not have happened without a technically change. And it was that I needed a short and good explanation of which I got it early in the tread from garethx. The discussion of what does fit this term is a never ending story it seems, I did not know that it had been discussed for years. So to guys like Brett, I'm sorry to bring it back on, but to me this forum is the best in the world when you need an answer to a questions related to soul music, and again I got my answer.

Is This Right?
Both tunes written by the guitarist of his band and only 300 copies was released. At his "hottest" moment it went for over $200 on Ebay and it was even bootlegged

Crossover Soul
This is how I would describe it too, but how to describe the "sophisticated production" technically? What was the advances in technology that made the "raw" 60s sound change into the more "polished" 70s sound. Maybe I need to buy Kents Lets do the crossover cds vol 1 and 2

Crossover Soul
Can anyone explain the term crossover soul. I know the sound when I hear it, but what does it mean technically, what in the production of records changed from late 60 to early 70s?

Mighty Sam Mcclain
It is the same guy Did any of his records get any play on the soul scene? I'm guessing on «Papa True Love» and maybe "Never to busy"?

Mighty Sam Mcclain
I'm sure I can find it somewhere in the WWW, but it's easier to ask here And, is this the same Mighty Sam which has a release on Malaco "Never to busy"?

Info On Greer Brothers
Hi Boba, thanks a lot! I would love to hear that other record, I was told they only made "the busing song". And also interested to hear of other 'bussing records', didn't think of that, thanks again!
