Thanks a lot guys, but it's none of the ones above I could be wrong of course, but I sem to remember it from a youtube video and I'm sure it was on the orange/brown Hi label...
sorry bout that, and Steve I know, that's why I'm asking here.......I'm sure somebody knows who I'm thinking of. One more peace to the puzle, I'm sure he's not one of the "big" name on the lable..
I'm looking for a great x-over tune I heard a while ago, but the only thing I remember is that it was on the Hi label and it was a man singing....anyone?
Thanks a LOT mate. A Patton is also from Long Beach. See if you can find out why there's two different mixes of her "only" 45 on same looking label..
Wow, that sounded strange and what a strange thing to do. It's 1 min longer then the "normal" one. I need Mike Vague to ask A. Patton about this...
Thanks a lot for sharing Ian and for making this mystery a even bigger one
Dig it out and send it to me
Please do, I would love to hear it!
The name is kinda "blaxploitation" IMO, so it might be a more "known" soul sister? I think it's only two 45s on this label, Buddy Ace is the other one.
The label is A&B records from Los Angeles and it's produced by Alexander Patton which is also the owner, or co-owner of the label, but I don't know anything about Pam Kellum..anyone? Who is she, where is she from..?
I know that both the promo (DJ) and issue came out on vinyl. My friend has the promo so there I'm 100% sure, and on this youtube clip you'll see a yellow issue as vinyl
