On line (high sound quality) radio server link outputting great soul, Motown, Funk, Northern, Disco, Ska plus R&B tunes played on their original vinyl releases. Harrogate Northern Soul Club and Ilkley soul Club DJ Ian Smith will be spinning the tunes. You can email any requests and shout outs to harrogatenorthernsoulclub@virginmedia.com.     This month the Soul Lounge welcomes a very special guest - Seth Mowshowitz straight from NYC but now resident in Leeds. Seth is the lead in the Leeds based band Fold and doubles as a funk DJ as his alter ego. Seth joins regulars Andy Brads and Ian Smith who will be supplementing the funk with some solid soul for the dancefloor - modern, northern, southern, soul hits, R&B of the 60's variety & boogie. Its a great night - atmospheric club with dance floor, comfortable lounge and good bar. 8 til 12 - free entry.

    Soulful! is back at the Soul Lounge - Friday 31 January 8 until 12 - free entry. Soul Music across the board fa' dancin'! Spinners will be Ian Smith, John Lee and Steve Flynn(SOS Bradford). A fun night with a good crowd!
  4. Harrogate Northern Soul Club - Valentine's night special with special guest DJ's Natalie Harrison (Lincoln) and Greg Gowlar (Charity Soul & Goole). Soul's odd couple are the ideal antidote to romance and cut an amusing but musically cutting edge set for dancing to. If you've never seen them perform before you will not be disappointed! Natalie and Greg are backed by resident DJ's Keith Hudson, Steve Murphy and Ian Smith who will be spinning northern dancers, up tempo Motown and 60's and 70's soul classics. The club has a great sprung wooden floor, comfortable lounge, reasonable bar prices and a friendly clientel. Dancing starts at 7.30 until 12.30 and its £5 OTD.

    ILKLEY SOUL CLUB

    Ilkley Soul club returns for 2020. ORIGINAL vinyl; Soul to dance to; great club and floor; banging sound system. We have cut the number of dates this year to 6 - bi monthly with 3 Sunday afternoons and 3 Saturday nights - £5 OTD - always a great event! Our first event is Sunday 26 January and the guest is the well known and respected Mark Bicknell - now resident in these parts.

All the usual features Soul in the Charts from 1964, 1967, 1970, 1977 and 2012; a soul origin of a famous hit; a special Cleethorpes set in the northern soul feature; and it get funky - some funky hits from years gone by. 2 hours of great soul music. Its a good listen!
  10. Does anyone out there remember the Harrogate Cheltenham Club? A Contemporary of the Twisted Wheel in the North Yorkshire Spa Town between 1966 and 1969. If so this may be of interest? Give us your memory!
