Please note that this is a special birthday night for two of our regulars Dancin' Jon and Tracy, both of whom celebrate their birthdays on 21 July. It is NOT a private party however and all are welcome. The tunes for this event will be moredancer orientated with soul hits, northern dancers, funky get on downers, jazz funk nuggets and Disco deeeelights! It will be a great night!! Leave your credibility at the door!!!

The Harrogate Soul Lounge re locates to the upstairs function lounge for one night only - due to a quiz downstairs in the Soul Lounge proper. We are pleased to announce our special guest DJ's are Roman (Blackpool Soul Weekenders, Colne Muni and Burnely Lost Souls) and Lodgie (Leeds Wardrobe , Keighley OKEH an Burnley Lost Souls) grace the decks once again. Both are great DJ's - legends in their own lifetime. Resident DJ's as usual Keith Hudson, Stephen Murphy, and Ian Smith playing top dancers Northern, Motown and 70's. Harrogate Northen Soul Club - good crowd, fantastic sprung floor to get the moves going; up front dancers guaranteed. Reasonable bar tarriff, ambient and comfortable surround seating. Always a great night! Tonight's special guests are Natalie Harrison who always brings a great set of tunes and a touch of sparkle to the decks. Natalie is joined by Karen Cooper of York - making a welcome return to Bilton - Karen always ensures that the dancefloor is kept busy. Keith Hudson is unable to make this one due to a long standing family commitment, although he will be definitely be back for the anniversary night in December. So Mark Dawson of York (Soul in The Tavern) has kindly stepped in as a late sub and will get the proceedings off to a lively start. Other normal residents Steve Murphy and Ian Smith will be there to provide the usual up front sets and a few surprises!

Harrogate Northern Soul Club's first event of 2023. A great dance floor with up front funky and soulful dancers all night long. Bilton is an atmsopheric soul club with a floor second to none. This month resident DJ's Keith Hudson, Stephen Murphy and Ian Smith are joined by Mally Meah and Trevor Thomas. Mally is famed for his modern soul spots but still boasts a formidable northern collection and so will be mixing things up on the night. Trevor, originates from Southampton but has been a regular at various soul events since moving to West Yorkshire 30 years ago. Trevor has some underplayed dancing gems in his record collection. Bilton always guarantees a fantastic night - a great atmosphere and brilliant dancefloor. The next Harrogate Northern Soul Club after this one is Friday 14 April 2023.

The Cheltenham Club was Harrogate's first soul and R&B club 1967 - 1969. Dance the night away to 60's club soul tunes, 60's soul hits, and proper 60's R&B. All the tunes played will be from the original vinyl releases and would have been played at the original Cheltenham Club. The DJ's are Michael Lowcock, original Cheltenham Club member and warm up DJ, plus Harrogate Northern Soul Club's Ian Smith. Ripley Town Hall is a great venue with a sprung wooden floor. Entry is £5 (plus + 49p booking fee) by booking in advance on The Ripley Live Site www.ripleylive.com Any unsold tickets will be available on the night at £7 each on the door. All proceeds, minus the reduced and subsidised cost of the hall hire, will go to Parkinsons UK.

This event's special guest DJ is Fred Benson. Fred is a fantastic DJ with a great collection of floor filling tunes.
