  3. This would make a good 'double headed visit' worthwhile...assuming it happens, and within my lifetime! Founder LaMont Robinson and his board members, have discovered a site that could potentially be the new home for the Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame Museum. This site is located less than a half mile away from the Motown Hitsville USA Museum. A city-owned building on West Grand Blvd., which was the site of a former nursing home. Cheryl Ruffin, Vice President of the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame and the daughter of the late great David Ruffin of the Temptations, also chimed in; “this would bring such a major economic boost to Detroit”. 15. As much as I also cherish the nostalgia…and respect the views here…Has everything become so sacred that a simple NS Pastiche is getting most of us hot-under-the collar? Being chased around ‘Stolen from Ivor’ in the M/CR Arndale on a Saturday afternoon before kick-off was what did that for me.
  16. Yes the list (as it appeared in the Motor Town Review) is less than half the SUE UK discography.
  17. I was rummaging through my stuff for a future Connections thingy I was preparing…and got side tracked with my copy of ‘From Hitsville U.S.A. -The Tamla Motown Show’. In particular, the SUE Records list (as scanned). And thought, what is the rough value of all these today? (as sold). I applied these simple arbitrary ‘rules’… Where it was listed on Discogs, I took the Discogs Median value for each Where the Discogs Median wasn’t listed, I took the lowest Discogs price for sale (if there was one). There was 6 (Six) of these Where there was neither 1. or 2. I took the most recently known price (e.g https://www.popsike.com, www.rarenorthernsoul.com, https://collectorsfrenzy.com, etc). There was 7 (Seven) of these. Where there was neither 1. 2. or 3.- I took it as 0 (Zero). There was only one of these. £1634. Hope you find it interesting?

  20. Hi Roburt, was the Salford (Venue) one in Little Hulton? rings a bell, but maybe for a different reason!
  21. It's a bit of fun...please take it as such. Can you add any to the list?
  22. I guess you may already know this, but Daryl ( and John Oates) have history with most of the musicians coming out of Philly, and the respective studio's of Sigma, Virtue, etc. They both played on Electric Indian 'Keem-O-Sabe' 1968, Marmaduke ( as well as others sides) with what most folks regard as " The Philiadelphia Funk Brothers"
  23. This might have done the rounds as a topic, so forgive me if so. What record would you have wanted your favourite Northern male/female/group (dead or alive) to have covered- that is Non-N.S. Maybe (...only maybe) exclude some obvious one's e.g. Beatles/Lennon & McCartney, etc. P.S. thought it a bit more light hearted than recent topics
