  1. for Frankie Gearing...ou could have moved to "G's" for The Glories and we have one up our sleeves for the "Q's" ( with her) in Quite Elegance,
  2. this one (from the Laugh In girl) might be a wee bit controversial.
  3. Gettiing Going with the "G's"
  4. Sorry Mickey Finn but i have to keep it movin' (i give 8-10 hours or so). BUT staying with the "F's"-how about this one?
  5. Fast Forwarding to the "F's" Don't forget...Girls and Girl Groups I still find it hard to believe such a production could be accomplished in 1966! and don't hear this played out much these days
  6. i've got to keep this monster moving...so on to the "E's" i also realise that some live in different time zones, and others have busy lives...so catch-up's are still OK. just need to keep it movin
  7. back to the "D's" -it's a Double
  8. Northern Soul Connections #12 - 12 Days Of Christmas - December 2017 Northern Soul Connections #12 and it's a rather apt northern connection, being it's the 12th one and the Christmas time one... Before you view, just a quick word to let you know that Kev has said... This will be my LAST REGULAR MONTHLY connections. I will, however, continue to post #13, etc, when I get “an itch” or some of the ongoing research I have develops better. Hopefully, it won't be too long before we all get another northern soul connection, but I would like to ask anyone who has enjoyed this series to show their appreciation via 'upping 'the post or adding a comment -mike Onto #12 12 Days Of Christmas... you can view all of Kevs 12 Northern soul Connections via this link Hit here to view all Kevs Northern Soul connections and as said while this is the last in the regular series hopefully it won't be too long till we will all read another, many thanks Ken
  9. Northern Soul Connections #12 and it's a rather apt one for this, being both the 12th one and the Christmas period one... Before you view, just a quick word to let you know that Kev has said... Tap to view this Soul Source News/Article in full
  10. catch -up's still ok & welcome Just for follow on's...we've started the D's: (unless you're catching up)
  11. Kicking off the "D"'s with this one. Remember Female groups or Female artists
  12. Blandon is Richard Blandon of the doo-wop group the Dubs. They had a hit in 57/58 with "could it be magic". Sinclair is Mack Sinclair. Richard Blandon and the Dubs re-surfaced in the early 70's to cut some stuff which was produced by Wayne Stierle. (i guess this is one of them). George Goldner got the Dubs underway with their first hit "could it be magic" - Hence, as my previous post, the GOLD (Goldner) label that was also associated with Hyman's Heigh-Ho.
  13. what better way to spend the next 10 years/
  14. If i'd payed £672 for it (JM auction) and then it was played as the re-issue, boot, etc AT A NS Venue/CLUB soul night- i'd be dissapointed to say the least. Well run events where DJ's play OVO are self regulating. In that guest DJ's know the score.
  15. Starting off the "C's" -(but if you have a "B" you can't resist chuck it in-REMEMBER females artists/groups
  16. Hi Benji I can't tell you about The Delicados, but Heigh-Ho was a label run by Hyman (Hy) Fenster. His name may be credited ( production, etc) on your record. His other lable was Gold. He was assocaited with Irving Berlin Music for 25 yrs or so, and died in Sept 1971. Maybe it's a lead you could follow? good luck.
  17. i'm gonna keep going until i get to "Z"- feel free to join in. i@m still on the "B's" for a few days.
  18. not rare. my grandson busted my Fi-Dels. fortunately iK001 sold me another.
