  1. Is Hey Now Baby on Hull a different version to the one on Up-Down ? If so is it as good ? Thanks
  2. Yeah, Lie Dream Of The Casino Soul. Not one of their better records IMO, but a great sleeve though.
  3. Haven't got a playbox, but there's 15 of my records in someone elses playbox, does that count
  4. I thought C-87 yellow was orig & C-103 pink or green were reissues. What colour is C-6475 ?
  5. Well, I like it but I don't think I could dance to it so the answer will have to be yes, it's too bluesy.
  6. Yeah, Newcastle Tiffs, don't think I've heard it since then either.
  7. I put my max bid on in the last few seconds either manually if I've got access to a pc or snipe if I'm at work or in bed etc. I don't see that it makes any difference.
  8. Have you considered a stall in an indoor market ? They're usually only open 2 or 3 days a week, so you could carry on as a gasman as well until it was established.
  9. I was talking to Steve Whittle about this the other week, apparently the couple who's kitchen it was moved to Australia & the house has changed hands a few times since. Not long ago the new owners ripped up a laminate floor to discover the Casino floor underneath. The neighbours told them what it was so they told the local Wigan press, & it made the headlines.
  10. I paid about £20 for a James Spencer demo. £100 for Syng McGowan but that was cheap, goes for up £150. I think Dee Clark was about £50 or £60, but less if it hasn't got Come Closer on the other side. All about 18 months - 2 years ago.
  11. I don't know either, but I like as well.
  12. I remember after the Friday allnighter on a scooter run waiting for your mum to go out so a load of us could sneak in and have a shower & get changed, then another one Sat night. We must have been mad.
  13. No, your memories ok, I used to go to the Friendship Club before the nighters. I've still got a badge somewhere, similar to the Wigan Oldies anniversary badge. I remember getting off the train one Friday night to be met by the Police informing us that the nighter was cancelled. Luckily they kept the Friendship club open till about 2. I think I had a better night that if the nighter had been on, but I was lucky enough to stay at a friends house, lots of others weren't so lucky & ended up kipping in shop doorways. I also went to alldayers at a venue in Arias Park or something like that. Sometime later I went to an Allnighter run by Chris Burton as part of a scooter run.
  14. I need my baby - Jackie Beavers but he must have had extremly tight trousers on when he recorded Come back my love
  15. I used to have it by Jay & Cathy's Clowns, can't remember anything about it now though so it can't have made much impression on me.
  16. Great record. Thanks for that.
  17. She had at least 2 more tracks on Guyden, can anyone post them up?
  18. HE'S MY GUY - maxine davis - guyden 15754 refosoul
  19. BEFORE I LEAVE YOU - maxine davis - guyden 15750 refosoul LOVE THIS, DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HER THOUGH
  20. Originally released by Earskin Fuller on Alamo as "Moaning". I've not heard it so I can't say what it's like
  21. I thought he got shot in a robbery years ago
  22. Had mine for about 35 years, the youth who first called it me asked me why I was called crumb one day, so if he doesn't know no one will.
  23. Just sold Palace Of Swords on ebay along with all my other Fall vinyl
  24. Great record, I used to have the Benny Spellman version on the other side of Fortune Teller but as I don't care if I never hear FT again I think I'll go for the O'jays this time.
  25. Got a mint demo on Okeh about 18 months ago for £15, nobody else bothered to bid. Great record.
