Hi Folks, If our plans come to fruition we should be moving from the Manchester area to Northumberland (near Alnwick) in early 2020. Is there much of a scene in Northumberland? I see the odd event in Berwick, but aside from that, there appears to be little in the area. Happy to travel to events, making new pals and sharing petrol costs/driving duties. Have co-promoted events in the North West for around 20 years and am a collector and reluctant DJ. Keen to meet like-minded 'souls' and attend events, especially rarer events with an OVO policy. Am a scooterist too. Hope to get a heads-up on the scene and events in the region. Thanks in advance for any information you can share. Chris

Hi Folks, VG++ copy. A number of feint scuffs and a few very light, feint, very small and non-feelable scratches. 1 just about feelable scratch of around 1cm that does not affect play and is not very noticeable (I think I just about managed to capture it in the last photo). Great playing copy. Small amount of label wear as per photos. A couple of photos appear to make the label look grubby...its not. Payment by Bank Transfer or cheque on this occasion. No PayPal. Royal Mail Special Delivery included. Many thanks for looking. £650 ovno. Chris

Hi Folks, ***Opps! More haste less speed as the saying goes. Rushing to post whilst being called downstairs for my tea meant a cock up on the price. Should have been advertised at £450 ovno to mirror the price of a VG copy sold by Joe Dunlop in March 2018.*** Needs must I'm afraid. VG/VG+ copy of Danny Woods - You Had Me Fooled - Correctone 1052. I am a really picky grader when it comes to buying and selling though I am unsure of exactly how to grade this. I have had 3 independent views, two have told me VG+ for sure (one of whom even thought it could go to VG++) the third suggested VG. Given the variance I am erring on the side of caution. Despite not being the prettiest of copies it plays spot on. I am advised that most copies aren't the prettiest, but I have seen so few that I can't really comment. Plenty of fine marks and surface scratches (none deep, or feelable, or affecting play). I have tried to capture the worst marks. I have good, but limited feedback, so please buy with confidence. Full £ back guarantee if my grading is not deemed to be anything other than fair. Bank transfer please...can't take PayPal on this occasion. £450 ovno. Shipping by Royal Mail Special Delivery included. Thank you for looking.

What’s the most you’ve paid for a record
Scooterboy replied to carl baxter's topic in Look At Your Box
George Pepp - The Feeling Is Real. Bid on Tim Brown's auction a few years ago (guessing around 10 years ago). Didn't expect to win but I'd at least 'had a go' and could claim as much to my mates. Was gobsmacked to be told that I was successful as my bid was around £1,000 less than I'd been advised I'd need to bid to have a fighting chance of winning. Didn't have the £ (as not expecting to win). Had to tell the wife to see if she could loan me the balance so that I could save face and have the record. She did her nut big time, but agreed to the loan after I'd told her that it was a relative bargain and I'd make around £1,000 if I sold it on. She didn't speak to me for 3 days afterwards when it dawned on her that I was not about to sell it on. Not sure what gave me the greatest pleasure at the time...owning George Pepp or 3 days peace and quiet! I still have George Pepp, but sadly the wife is now talking to me again.- 103 comments

Makes perfect sense that they won't talk to you about your package...it's been sent to Coventry. I can almost hear the gentle rustle of the tumbleweed...

Scooterboy replied to Eric Catchpole's topic in Look At Your Box
Agreed, can't see Pat letting this go for £300...even if the screen shot was from years ago. I got my copy from Dave Truscott around 8 years ago. I has around 1/2 - 1 second of minor cue burn and was in a deal. Suspect that I paid around £1,000 for this as part of the deal. In the current climate even accounting for the fact that it may not be that well known there will be a number of serious collectors who'd be interested. Dependent on vinyl condition I'd estimate somewhere around £1,500 - £1,800 at the lower end of the spectrum. Yes, JM does generally get great prices, but there are a few that sell for less than anticipated. If you attained £2,000 less JM's 20% you'd get £1,600...perhaps you could do better via SS? I'd be surprised if you've not already had PMs from interested parties. Chris -
Hi Garry, It's Chris Penn here. I got an Otis Lee from you a while back and I put another couple of guys in touch with you who bought copies from you as well. I hope that you are well. Chris

Hi, I helped a guy a while back who wanted a copy. I don't have one for sale but a guy I know in the USA had 2 copies recently...one of which he sold to the other guy who I helped. If you are interested let me have your email address and I'll pass it onto the chap in the USA. He doesn't use Soul Source, but he will contact you via email if he can help you with a copy. Just send your email address and I'll pass it on for you. Chris

Hi Folks, Not sure if this is the rarest format for this record but my limited research suggests it is less frequently offered for sale than the black vinyl demo or styrene issue. Visual grading is somewhere between VG+ and VG++ though play grade is much better and I have played this 'out' on a number of occasions...I don't think you'll be disappointed with the sound quality and as a vinyl copy it's so much more forgiving than the styrene issue. Unlike the black vinyl demo both sides play Somebody's Always Trying...so if you ever wear one side out you'll have another to fall back on! There are a small number of scuffs - captured quite well in the images on the side with the better label. The side with the WOL label has a scratch but this only results in one minor click in the run-out. £300 plus postage method of your choice. Happy to play the record down the phone (after 8pm tonight) if you want to hear it...sorry, I have no ability to record a sound clip. Payment by Bank Transfer ideally...I owe the £ to someone who can't take PayPal on this occasion.
