I have noticed an increasing number of eBay sellers are unwilling to state low values on shipping documents, or are using the Global Shipping Programme that adds duty/tax etc at the point of sale. The extra costs this adds has certainly put me off bidding or buying, and even when I politely raise the question with sellers, many are simply unwilling to budge or change their position. Perhaps that's putting others off too. Not that I'm advocating the avoidance of duty/tax...

So, is it fair to conclude the culprits were at the venue, or were being instructed/tipped off, by one or more of the attendees? CCTV from the venue, or around the venue, might help pinpoint the culprits if they were in attendance. Unless specifically stolen to order, with them going into a collection never to resurface, these will be far too hot to handle and suspicions quickly raised. I can't see a dealer risking their reputation, especially if approached by a seller who does not have a history/pedigree on the scene. If the culprits were hoping for a quick cash turnaround, then when the penny drops how difficult these records will be to offload (the penny might already have dropped), they may well regret their actions. They will regret their actions even more when (as they will be) they are caught, exposed, jailed and are subjected to soulie justice. I have no doubt these people will be caught, either by virtue or greed, stupidity or by being identified. I am hopeful that the cops will treat this with the seriousness it deserves, if for no other reason than due to the value of records stolen. For the aforementioned reasons I am hopeful that you'll get these back Ted, and if the culprits have any sense they will find a way of returning them, or getting them to the police, before it's too late.
