  1. I was just thinking that . I dont think any of the stuff Ive recently spun has been booted , but of course its 70's to the present day I think this is the most pertinent point on this thread ,
  2. Did the boots sound good ?
  3. saw one go on ebay for about £200 , but nor sure this would go big at Caister along with Ramsey and Co !!

  5. Lots of classics there Shaun .. has the hobbit got em all
  6. Well if you talking about something thats easy to carry" , plus increasing fidelity of low quality tracks its perfectly logical to use a nice Sony laptop and some Re-mastering software like Adobe Audition . There we go problem solved with just logic
  7. and as for Vinyl Carvers of LP tracks and 12'' edits ..Dear me?! maybe its your mate Martin Sean ?
  8. It does seem very in to go out with just a little 50 box of 7'' these days . but I think DJ's are doing the public a disservice by not digging out LP tracks !! Simon

  13. Twisting my words hey , you should of been round in the mafia days of soul Bearsy . however I have found that the plastic on modern soul releases is better , esp' west coast plastic !!

  17. VG++ is a real headache imo .. Over the last 4 years Ive had near perfect , VG++, from sweetsoul28 to almost feckd from other users ! . I sometimes wish it could all go back to the old days when you could smell the vinyl before buying
  18. I think Christian B's was less than that..
  19. I think most Modern Oldies Dj's play a bit of southern !
  20. Master Force "Dont fight the feeling" a brilliant modern soul groover , but these days "hey girl" is in favour
  21. Thankfully Robin tipped me off about the b-side , I thought it was no way as good , a bit too jazzy Then Rob started playing Jerry Bell and Bill Summers ... guess what Robins into now ..Hmmm Jazz ...Nice LOL .
  22. Yeah it was amazing with lots of uptempo played ( I'll pm a selection played in a while ) , However Andy Whitmore's Mrs had pictures of the 80's with her , Mullets , perms and pencil thin tash's at Modern soul nights , I could feel my cheeks burn with embarrassment .
  23. Well of course the other Ronnie Mac B side on Tortoise records "Good side of your love" A-side is the briliant " Different kind of love"
  24. LOL .. I was thinking that . Brighton was great for jazz at one point , some top latin sets there !!
  25. Soul Sams Modern sets around 1982 to 85 were brilliant ( thanks to the hard work of John A and Dave R of course ) and Robins, Stafford sets, around 1985 , although not many heard em ..
