A promoter can do whatever they want really ,as already mentioned. The solution is to play stuff that aint been booted .. Im not sure about the vinyl carver ruling though , can we have some rare soul refs at the decks now ?
I heard this !! ..If the original was a big record for you ( new play , or reactivation) and then you sold it on for $$$ , it was ok to cut a carver and still play it ?
I was just thinking that . I dont think any of the stuff Ive recently spun has been booted , but of course its 70's to the present day
I think this is the most pertinent point on this thread ,
Well if you talking about something thats easy to carry" , plus increasing fidelity of low quality tracks its perfectly logical to use a nice Sony laptop and some Re-mastering software like Adobe Audition . There we go problem solved with just logic
It does seem very in to go out with just a little 50 box of 7'' these days .
but I think DJ's are doing the public a disservice by not digging out LP tracks !!

Im ok mark , as 70% of the vinyl is still at Rays mansion .. I dont remember this played at Rock city and I got mine of Gary ( super afro perm ) S too .. he had some top tunes that chap
Twisting my words hey , you should of been round in the mafia days of soul Bearsy . however I have found that the plastic on modern soul releases is better , esp' west coast plastic !!
VG++ is a real headache imo .. Over the last 4 years Ive had near perfect , VG++, from sweetsoul28 to almost feckd from other users ! . I sometimes wish it could all go back to the old days when you could smell the vinyl before buying
