btw Just got what i consider to be a future 'overplayed' 70's classic!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't know much about it at the mo' as it's unreleased and I have no idea who it is etc BUT after a number of plays, i'm convinced it's gonna be a biggun and (hopefully) one everyone will be moaning about hearing all the time in the future
Cheers
Steve
did say that it wasnt a modern v oldies debate if you read my original post, just a question as to why modern rooms are always empty these days, in my experience.
If people dont want to debate then why read/post on forums?
I think i have my answer anyway so thanks guys

Dave T's post explains it more or less Helen ..
Very good points there BigO esp' about Stafford ! Of course there are scenes abroad that have mainly younger people and they seem to be increasingly into more modern genres of soul , well Norway and Sweden seem to be .
It is amazing , and I guess some of the artists know that sad fact now .. some people are secretive about what they like or even deny it in public .........like Bearsy hahahah
Strange taste helen I think most people like soul 60's 70's 80's to Y2k , mainly by the same artists throughout the decades .
Its just about being a soulfan , Frankie beverly , Luther , Womack , Wade o Brown etc etc
