The watered down, mid-tempo stuff is what gets overplayed at so called ATB nights now, because it's easy for the obesese or over-fortified "soulie" to shuffle along to, and that's one reason why some have moved towards 60s events. Dave you must be thinking of crossover , as many early Modern Scene sounds were pretty much break neck in tempo Larom Baker , Allan Harris , Motherfox ,to 1-20 Connection and Florence Trapp... all for dancers really
