  1. The big attraction for Northern/All-nighter music for me was not only the stompers with the big vocals , but the diversity . Eddie Parker , James Fountain , Willi J & Co , E J Rice , Ramsey & Co , Norman Conners , ZZ& Co . Sam Fletcher ,Royal Robbins ,Glen Jones ,Florence Trap .etc etc Im sure this is a big attraction to new people now , once they get passed the Wigan Classics

  10. Yes true Mark regarding internet streams and high profile oldies jocks etc . However I think people did not want these records,when they were first imported, because they were just cheap !

  14. The question is ... why is their interest in buying these once cheap records now ... Is it because they are now looked upon as rare, and therefore viable? or because punters/dj's want diversity .

  17. It certainly came very cheap , to Rock City punters Quite a few odd ball things like this around at the time( mid 80's) , of better quality too .

  20. Hi Rod , I was thinking more along the lines of DJ's like Ian Wright (UK) , Chris B(Oslo) , DJ Them (Japan) ps. J-Brew maybe too I say this as Jtrouble ,Butch etc , played a high percentage of straight up Northern at Soul Revolution ! pps. Butch will do it fo me at Without Boudries !! (fingers crossed)

  22. Londons Soul revolution ,and other gigs Worldwide prove that young people are into it , maybe with a funkier modern soul , type edge . Its still all-nighter soul music . The kids will become DJ's and promoters just give em a chance ps. I was one of the kids who went to 100 club, Fleet ,Stafford etc etc ..I thought there were some grumpy old men even then LOL ..
