  5. LOL .. I have tried Golf , its the hardest game in the world for me so I'm sticking to fishing and pendulum casting ... not sure about Robins jazzy stuff , but Im sure he could do a great spot with just old Modern Soul LP's Simon
  6. Robins not sure about going , hes got Harvey , Y2k cd's , and golf to think about ( but no speci angling )
  7. I dont care - desire - ljm More popular in Japan these days
  8. That's actually a good question Tad . Collectors and Importers usually decide on rarity and quality,( the chin strokers ) DJ's then have to impress the chin strokers with their selections(taste) .. pleasing the dancefloor is quite easy .. Pleasing both factions is the trick to master if your an all-nighter DJ !!
  9. Robin got a good price for his , on here , well over a year ago now .
  10. But why is it called crossover , wheres it crossing over to ? Who named it ? no way this is crossover to me Ultimates "Girl I've Been Trying To Tell You"
  11. Marshall Don Broomfield , someone got a bargain there ..what release was it glyn ?

  13. You know what Ive not seen a 7'' for sale in 3 years , not on popsike too
  14. To be honest I dont mind hearing this sort of tune out these days .. Jackie Day , Magnetics , and even Tolbert dont do it for me now
  15. Ahh I dont know , these hotbox types .
  16. back up on recordsbymail again
  17. I must say , I played both last night , and I'd forgotten how brilliant the Chuck Strong version is !!
  18. Thats a good one Lin . Outside of the box I do have my laptop but thats full of Y2K stuff and against the NS ethos
  19. I can understand why DJ's dont do requests Simon and I think longer spots are needed . Dont mind repeat plays if someone has something really fresh!! .. But yep you would need some kind of guard against repeats with 6 hotbox types
  20. Well it would be Butch in the toilet with that scenario not me ,I'd be doing a Grant Santino
  21. That sounds like hard work Davie as the lineup would change too much ,and I think lots of guests is a no no ( bit like Svens I'll do 11 subs at halftime practise ) , maybe the odd one ..
  22. Thats not very nice Simon and give me my records back !! LOL
  23. If I was to put on a all-nighter (now don't worry it aint gonna happen there's too many events already) what's the best way to form a dj-lineup A)Book all the top Hotboxers and pack it out , and hope the same 40 records don't get played over and over B)Get some mates to DJ for nowt and book Butch for three hours with a 20 min toilet break set from , Simon T C)Get a good oldies DJ , a couple 60' hardcore jocks , and a couple of the more Modern jocks and hope there are no fights. Hmmm what's the best way ? Simon
  24. I never got the chance back in the day .. but when I visited , it seemed the soul DJ's would play a regional style ,and it would be tough for a UK jock .
  25. Smokin aside ....I think if you went to school with a packed lunch ( lunchbox) , thats where all this box thing started ..It all goes back to your childhood .. I would often trade a milky way for a double decker . Hmmm what a indemand chocolate bar that was Simon ps. I think Keb and James had packed lunch's at school ..Lol
