Absolutely gutted!!!!!! A fantastic venue and it's built up over a couple of years to be one of the best in the area..... It will be very sadly missed by many of the soulies. Hopefully, it'll go out with a massive bang on Sunday. Hundreds have said they're going to turn out for the very last one! It'll be PACKED!!!!!!!

Well, after the last one, when I couldn't even get to Shirebrook because of the floods, I'm really looking forward to this one. I'm just hoping we don't get more flooding, or 6 feet of snow, or anything else that nature might throw at us.... KTF!!!

Tomorrow, 15th August is the anniversary of Steve's passing... RIP Studge Let's hope the masses turn out for his memorial, which I'm sure they will.

There's absolutely no doubt, this is gonna be MASSIVE!!! So, so many people knew and were friends with Studge, from up and down the Country, it's gonna be really well attended. So many DJ's all giving their time for free, such is the respect everyone has for Steve. Here's hoping he'll be looking down on us and enjoying every minute!!!! RIP Steve!!!! You've been so sadly missed by everyone!!!!

Thank goodness this excellent soul event is returning. Really missed it over the past 7 months. Hopefully everyone will return again and enjoy an incredible afternoon/evening... Obviously, we'll miss our fellow DJ Studge, but he'll be there in spirit!

I believe there's only about 30 odd tickets left out of 400, so if you haven't got one yet, don't hang around. Once all the tickets have gone, that's it. I don't think there's any chance of paying on the door, but Phil or Paul will correct me if that's wrong. Gonna be an absolutely belting night!!!! -
Just to let everyone know. I've had a message to say that Studge's funeral is still going ahead on Mon 19th at Mansfield Crem 4.15pm. At the moment, the wake will still be at the Brown Cow afterwards.

As many already know, but for those that haven't heard, we lost our soul brother Steve 'Studge' on 15th August and his funeral is going to be at Mansfield Crematorium on Monday 19th Sept 2022 at 4.15pm, followed by a gathering to celebrate his life at the Brown Cow, Mansfield. The Brown Cow was the starting point of his soul journey back in the late 60's, so it's fitting that his wake will be there. I've put this on Soul Source because I know he was known by many, many people up and down the Country. RIP mate!

6 years later & I was accosted at the soul event in the Civic Centre, Mansfield last night by Tina Wilton... She had a dig at me for not mentioning her in my previous posts, even though I mentioned her hubby Dave (Loxy) and a lot of the others who frequented the scene all those years ago. Right then, let me correct things, here we go, Dave (Loxy) went on to marry the adorable, stunningly beautiful, (who's beauty was not only in her outwardly appearance, but also her wonderful personality), Tina and the rest, as they say, is history. There you are Tina, I've mentioned you now.... Pint of John Smiths at the next event will do nicely....LOL!!! Seriously, a great couple & both lucky to have each other for all these years!!!
