  1. Strictly speaking the album is the original - the 'EP' is just one of those cut down 'mini' albums for Juke Boxes - they came with the same cover as the album complete with title strips and mini album covers and normally 6 or so tracks...............
  2. Just seen the price of the Linda Jones - £27.50!!!!! you can get a real one for that!!! I have spare mint vinyl copy with a little water damaged sleeve still in shrink - previously sealed until I opened it to play! wouldn't expect more than £20 for it! £13.50 for Frank Wilson and £21 for the Sandra Wright LP .........
  3. If you turn it upside down it will be the right way up and will be a lot easier to read. Good album a couple of magic Sam Dees songs on there.

  15. Quite ironic some of the comments about Curtis Mayfield being infringed. I think he is the greatest and most talented single figure in Soul music - writer, guitarist, producer, singer, performer and social commentator.... yet he was accused of plagiarism of 'This Old Heart Of Mine' with 'Can't Satisfy' and agreed to adding the Motown writer to the credits (and royalties) - HDH & S Moy. I always though the most strange case like this was that of John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival - his old record company Fantasy sued him for ripping of his own song ! Saul Zaentz who owned Fantasy and the copyright to 'Run Through The Jungle' claimed that Fogerty's new song 'The Old Man Down The Road' was just a re-work with new lyrics. Fogerty eventually won but had to fight for his costs - because Fantasy's claim was not considered to be 'frivolous na in bad faith'!!! Interesting that the album also contained a track about Zaentz titled 'Mr Greed' and another song sang of 'Zaentz can't dance but he'll steal your money!!' As evidence Fogerty took the witness stand with guitar in hand to explain that yes, the two songs may have sounded somewhat similar, but they were both variations on his signature “swamp rock” style. Simply put, of course two John Fogerty songs sounded the same.
  16. This looks interesting - Jones, Linda – Hypnotized (LP + 7″) Lets hope it is the mono mix of the LP and a previously unreleased track!
  17. I guess the Beatles 'Butcher' cover is the best example of a physically censored LP sleeve - with the original sleeve completely pasted over with a new image. As you can imagine this has created a massive industry for peeled unpeeled copies - with a a still sealed copy selling for $39000!
  18. Jim - what was the Bland track? Mike
  19. Wonder what the story is with the title change on this variation?
  20. I thought that's what the article and the LP cover said Chalky ..and of course Hazel Martin co-wrote 'Someday'
  21. I'm confused - what's the Billy Storm connection?
