Walter's other Brunswick outing.....- Songs That Really Pull At Your Heart Strings . . .
Always a firm favourite here, when he did this in Bilbao last year, he absolutely nailed it.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_9Mz5c_oBM- Freddy Butler With A Dab Of Soul
Just thinking about this album and some notes I had made, I know that · ‘Give Me Lots Of Lovin'’ also done by Willie Kendrick on RCA · 'You'd Better Get Hip Girl' also recorded by Kenny Carter RCA previously unissued · 'She's Foolin' You' is the same as Tony Hestor - 'Watch Yourself' b/w 'Just Can't Leave you' on Karate also recorded by Al Gardner on Sir-Rah But why I have noted down The Volumes 'That Same Old Feeling' on Impact and 'I Like Your Style' ? Are they connected? Mike- Nearly Giving Them Away
You're in France - you didn't need to qualify it Jed :o)- Four Dynamics Things That A Lady Aint Supposed Todo
Yes - for some time at Soul Essence, I seem to remember. Makes a nonsense of this OVO business in my opinion, the Raynescourt didn't fall down. Mores the pity you might say :o)- Motown 7's Box Set Catalogue Numbers
Why does it matter Kev ? as it is, the records are numbered in sequence and more importantly uniquely identified. There are no missing numbers in the sequence. If there had been 10 records in the box there would of been two zero's!- Motown 7's Box Set Catalogue Numbers
Maybe the batch of numbers previous to 534 542-5 have been used or allocated?- Motown 7's Box Set Catalogue Numbers
So again, logically in sequence - first the box... 534 542-5 then the individual 45's contained therein... 534 542-6 534 542-7 534 542-8 534 542-9 534 543-0 534 543-1 534 543-2- Motown 7's Box Set Catalogue Numbers
But you have not listed them in order , you are taking the -0 as the first but 542 comes before 543 so surely the order is .... 534 542-6 534 542-7 534 542-8 534 542-9 534 543-0 534 543-1 534 543-2 Which would mean there is no gap and the records are in sequence ? Mike- Demo To Issue Timeline?
..................and of course there is no way major labels would do anything as cynical as controlling what people play and listen too as I say its always been purely conjecture on my part.- Demo To Issue Timeline?
I have always thought that apart from the technical reasons (surely AM could have broadcast Stereo and vice versa), it also gave the record company more 'control' over which side was played - preventing those pesky DJ's 'flippiing' it!! Mind it is purely conjecture on my part :o)- Little Milton Long Distance Operator
Very nice - did he make a bad on? What a great career he had. He was responsible for Albert King's early recordings - on Bobbin Mike- Import Duty & Vat
I know that - I was making the point that they are even more likely to charge now - And whether the import duty is right or wrong I don't understand how it can be said that the PO is not doing anything for the £8.- Import Duty & Vat
Don't the Post Office inform you (by delivering a card?) that a payment is due? then they collect the fee and pass it on to the relevant agencies? they need to employ people to that so why would they (now a privately owned company) do that for free?- Top Tips For 2014
I realised that Sean, and had attempted to blank out my post before anyone noticed. That will teach me to try and dip my toes into the strange world of Rare Soul talk !!!- Top Tips For 2014
