not quite mate, i have a original green copy gemini ,the sound quality is aweful the louder play it the worse it sounds

hi all, recieved an original copy of "the sharpets - lost in a world of a dream" today cleaned it put it on the deck and then WOW what a sound and quality, after owning a copy of the bootleg from the late 70s uptil i got rid a few years ago the quality of sound from the original to that boot was amazing!! the louder i played it the better it sounded with no lose of fidelity. so have you owned/own a bootleg/counterfiet that you have replaced with the original copy and saw a total difference in the quality? any examples? oh yer another one i remember was that billy arnell-tough girl boot bloody awefull sound quality!! regards russ

pete & john,what i was trying to say or put over ,was infact what you discribed a fake scratched in nashville mark like you said which is easily spotted. the real one has the traditional nashville matrix stamp. well nice to know that you feel the w/demo is rare might move it from the back of my havnt played these for ages box lol. so to answer chris"s question what value do you put on, if a original issue? regards russ

hi chris, the issue was booted with a scratched in nashville stamp. just looking at my copy which is a demo, as the nashville matrix, SON255501 scratched in also lightly scratched 18, ztse 101981 1a which is hard to read! any help if a real issue £125-£150ish dependant on condition regards russ

i have delt with the seller on many occasions over the years so could well be that he as come across a few copies, as from the listing it said "unplayed store copy", im led to believe? as were some other 45s he sold lastnight.

brought a copy for £40 a couple of years ago, have seen this on a few wants list lately and have seen a copy for £150!. should pay no more than £75-£100 dependant on condition also watch out for the bootleg! original will have a frankford wayne stamp any good russ

hi, sold "tears on my face" about a year back £25 early early r&b the mary moultrie is im lead to believe quite a rare 45, saw one listed about 5 yrs ago for £250! dont know which issue it was? it has been issued twice i believe; americana recordings 1002 - mary moultrie with hutchs trio i have this one will try to put a scan up, never seen another!! have asked the question regards this one myself without any joy! americana recordings 1006 - mary moultrie & the dynamics (your listing) have seen this 45 a couple of times on ebay but each time it was on reserve that wasnt reached. even tried to email the seller with no joy. have played it out a few times with alot of interest from r&b lovers a raw, atmospheric quality 45 imo better than her king outing regards russ

not really mate, had alot of these for years sitting around plus some were doubles which ive upgraded. the thing is i see it as $250 record spending money which ive spent tonight $170 on sharpets! & $75 dean courtney rca not a bad investment still some packs available will be doing some more its a good way of getting rid of 45s out of the sales box cheers russ
