  3. recently got hold of a copy of - the deadbeats - no second chance - strata, many years after i first heard it played and as allways been one of my favourites, what makes this copy alittle more special is that it is the original "phantom janitor" cover up copy aired by richard searling still as the tape marks on the flip side, just makes you think how he must have felt playing this out for the first time and how it become part of the history for our scene 30yrs+ ago........

  7. fair comment, but if yourve just listened to the soundfile in this thread its a very poor recording doesnt have the same banging backing track & sounds slower/warpy imo

  13. i dont understand either, hence the thread, just interested if there are other quality tunes that have the same non dancefloor response or possible reasons ie; not known, wrong beat to dance to etc if you get my drift
  14. hi all, got thinking about any "brilliant records" that seem to be non dancefloor friendly, records which have everything a quality record should have being 60s 70s 80s etc, but, when it comes to the dancefloor...no response... the record im finding this seems to happen when djing is; clarence reid - im your yes man - wand , imo a brilliant 45 which as everything a "proper" record should have, is this just me? or are there other "brilliant records" which have the same non response? or should these records just be tucked away for home use only? any thoughts, possible reasons, suggestions, similar stories etc happy soulin 2012 russ
