hi all, is it harder finding rare or unknown records in 2015? with classic record prices going through the roof, and the influx of bootleg/lookalike collectors paying stupid prices are there still records being found that havnt yet found our scene..... as a collector of that something alittle different every so often I fall on 45s that are not listed..youtube..popsike..googled etc mainly 60s rnb styled 45s on really obscure labels so when or if you find something that's that bit different where do you go/do, to find out if its rare or unknown or even covering it up? guides, popsike, google, youtube, forums etc to be fair most 45s known or rare can be found on youtube, so imo when you find a record that doesn't appear the chances are it could be rare or virtualy unknown? I believe that finding quality 60s soul records that are unknown are the hardest 70s - modern more of a chance, 60s rnb also as ive said are out there if you dig hard enough..and normally very cheap hope you can understand where im coming from...discuss russ

Today, its sounds totally perfect for a NS revival, that’s if you can find a DJ with a copy in his box… This copy the vinyl is immaculate on both sides, flipside label a sticker removal mark on the label is its only minuscule flaw on an otherwise perfect disc. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 348.00 YEH I FOUND A WELL KNOWN DJ WITH THIS IN HIS BOX........SALES BOX £80...LOL been there for ages WHO pays 3 n a half times more for a copy madness... dry well - gypsy

hi all, where ive been working today the house owner was a big collector of uk rock n roll 50s til early 60s and as one off the best elvis presley collections in the uk!! as you can imagine after a chat and then walking into his record room shelves full of 45s mainly demos all in there original sleeves etc my mind started thinking there must been some soul in there which when we started chatting about my collection mainly 60s US soul and a few UK bits ive picked up over the years, started to reel of artistes and labels which yes he had most artists, labels etc but not the collectable one. anyway he did find a few bits of interest, I came out with these two and he will be looking though some boxes he as in the loft where he thinks he may have a few uk soul bits. anyone please give me current values on these, got a idea on one but cant find the other on demo the miracles - whole lot of shakin - uk tamla red/white demo mint- the reflections - like romeo and Juliet - uk stateside red/white demo EX+ as date written on label really nice guy who certainly knew his stuff wow what a elvis collection all uk first issues etc and loads of original sun recordings a fair few quid in there..... russ
-
cheers guys, ok sounds like a defect strange thing that the intro on both sides play distorted then fade out.... must be rare then...lol ps; were all copies above issues or demos?
