  1. Oh sorry... Just in the original post of this thread the guy said that it was going to be all northern... I'll keep me gob shut in future...
  2. Dave, I think you are meaning the other film 'Function at the Junction'... I think that is the Mark Ronson one... that is why I asked this nice chap what their 'music policy' was...
  3. Everyone knows you is honest... and I've known you for enough years to know that too... hence that is why I asked ya! You know I am grateful... and I won't forget that I owes ya!
  4. Ut oh... That and the Eddie Foster are both £400 at the minute... amazing
  5. Nate Evans - This Time With Feeling https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=260270587369 Frank Wilson - Do I Love You https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Northern-Soul-Frank-...86.c0.m14.l1318
  6. Are you able to let us know whether genuine northern soul tracks will be used in the film? (fingers crossed) and if so... what?
  7. OIC what you are on about now... sorry Harry... I didn't get your post in the other thread soz... glad I didn't have me dangly bits floppin' around. LOL
  8. Black vinyl. Sold now though on a 'buy now'.

  11. LOL! Your lucky numbers are 32, 44, 12, 16, 27, 35... <--- BTW that'd be me looking thru' your letter box wanting my share if the numbers do come up
  12. Further news on the Eddie Foster... visited Pat Brady yesterday and he said it is an original and he was dead chuffed when he saw the Connie Clark and said that was the best condition of Connie Clark he'd ever seen... (not suprised since it's only been played twice) anyway, left them with him and they are up for auction soon... I have been a soulie since 1974, never really been into labels and stuff, just love the music big time... so just imagine what a weird three or so days it has been. A major big thanks to PeteS for the telephone call on Saturday afternoon... will never forget his words... 'you still there?'... after he'd just told me that he was convinced that the Connie Clark was an original and what it might fetch... cheers Pete! Had to see someone like Pat Brady cos I just wasn't sure about the Eddie Foster and felt so much better when he confirmed it was original... my heart was going bumptity bump... Thanks for putting up with my recent witterings and appreciate it must be a pain when an ignoramus like me pokes her head around seeking help and using all the wrong terminologies... still got the Pete Warner and going to sell that myself... KTF peeps Wendy Tinley
  13. Thanks Dave... appreciate the input...
  14. Yes, my copy does have a triangle followed by 58486... and it is in brilliant condition...
  15. Well the label on my copy is certainly a rich blue and doesn't appear to be blotchy... as you can appreciate it is hard to keep the butterflies in my tummy from working over time and I still keep saying, like a mantra, it is a boot... it is a boot... anyway hopefully will be seeing someone later today who will be able to confirm either way... and also they'll be able to confirm that my Connie Clark - My Sugar Baby is kosher too... that too looks identical to the picture in Top 500 so I'm feeling hopeful that I've got two good 'uns with the Pete Warner... what an amazing weekend to find that I had these sat in my record box for the past thirty years...
  16. Not sold as yet... message me with any serious offer you have in mind... it is in mint condition... only been played twice... once in 1977 when first bought it (was in imports bin in record shop) and yesterday...
  17. Looking at the label on the Eddie Foster in my grubby mitt it looks identical to the photograph of the label in Kev Robert's Northern Soul Top 500 (page 103)... but you say that if the record states 6311-A it is a boot, mine does have that, as does the pic in the Top 500... I've managed to take a reasonable pic of the run off and there is nothing else on it other than the name of the record... I'm still sure it is a boot though... any thoughts anyone?
  18. He was kind enuff to give me a rough guide (offers over £25).... ;-)
  19. Pete Warner: I Just Want To Spend My Life With You £75 Polydor Import M- Has the tiniest of chips on the edge, nowhere near the playing surface and only visible if you really look for it! You can see it at about 2 o'clock...
  20. in the run out it just says "I never knew" including the quotes... so what does this mean?
  21. How do you tell the difference between an original and a boot? Seen an Eddie Foster on Ebay which looks identical to mine but I cannot believe I have an original... no way Jose! A goodly fellow me and GT know has said my copy is worth about £20 quid and I have no reason to doubt him. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...A:IT&ih=018 A photo of mine is attached... they look soooo close... Good copies weren't they!
  22. Yes... good point... I've got a telephone call booked for this afternoon with a prominent soulie on here so hopefully I'll stop bothering you. For now I have just one more question... Eddie Foster: I Never New... been sat in my box for donkey's years... just played it and wow what memories... just seen it on ebay for silly money... me thinks that can't be right... How do you tell the difference between an original and a boot? How much... last one for today... I pwomise!
  23. Got a pressing/bootleg of Gwen Owens: Wanted and Needed... plays wonderfully... it does have a few small surface scratches but with no affect on the playing. Does anyone have an opinion on how much I would get for it... if anything?
  24. Was thinking of putting The M.V.P.'s: Turning My Heartbeat Up on Ebay for £15 - £20 'cos I saw that it had been on Mr Manship's website for that price for the same condition M- Would this still be an accurate-ish figure or has the credit crunch hit vinyl prices too... KTF
