  6. Hiya, sounds llike a good night, Carl hall was played at the prince last night which for some reason jolted my memory of another one played last night- Eddie holland- its alrIght ( same as jj Jackson) like I said above the music was great, different dj's with no music policy, across the board as was popular term, early 9ts. Cheers
  7. Hiya, one I bought a little while ago off a good seller on here, pat Wallace- Martha reeves- thank you/ for the rest of my life on arista. Think rest of my life was originally the A side, lovely tune and thank you is pure Motown. Even the intro is stolen from baby love, great record though. Cheers

  12. Hiya, no regrets, lived a great a manic life. Always skint, been so poor at times but it's been fantastic, as my 70 odd older brother said to me recently ' pete I know I have properties, money etc but you have had a fantastic life while I was trying to build mine' of course I have missed moments but not regrets (liar) Carl Carlton- backbeat 6 or 8 quid ? No thanks another round, constellations 10 quid and my favourite missed chance was back in the seventies and I still love the record ' good times on lamp- my comment at the time ' what a great soulful tune but the beat is a bit too ska like, it will never catch on' I have / had/ may still have and I'm sure ? It was on a casino tape ? Cheers
  13. Hiya pete, personally I would be very wary of using any cleaning products. Why not some warm water and plenty of soft clean cloths for starters. Cheers
  14. Hiya, think they're demo only ? So might be scarce but not too expensive. I'm sure others will give you more info/ price, availability etc. cheers
  15. Hiya, yes it's Sam, you should have been a man. I'm sure I've heard / seen this before, maybe by another artist. Thinking its a B side to something. May have a look through my records. Cheers
  16. Hiya, yep as Liam gp says, loads of stuff before and since that court case, which was very harsh, can't think at mo been out all night but what sticks in my mind is the b side to ' my sweet lord' when all the uk pop stuff became popular again mid- late 7ts, if unknown ' what is life' would have been massive with that ' keep on running' vibe, and breaks for the dancers. Sorry bit off topic, cheers
  17. Hiya, record came in post Friday, thank you dave, earlier than expected. Great record and a few more sales guaranteed after giving it a spin today- yesterday. But being told ' hey pete seen you dance to this a few times at cleethorpes / 100 club off acetate ? Have I got a crap memory ? Or are others confused with another track ? Cheers. Ps when I said dance, meant, wobble, stagger, gurn. Cheers
  18. Hiya, good record but the other side is superb, cheers
  19. Hiya, I see the the set up in the toilet is pretty bog standard, hope that's Lou Rawls on on the decks ? Should really be playing ' exarse trek'. 23. Hiya, how a bit of pop soul ' stay'. Cheers
  24. Hiya, I think my sister (rip) and husband ( pre marriage ) used to go there along with night owl, burlesque etc so I guess they saw root &. Jenny, thinking about it, they may have played at the George in Hinckley. Must ask brother in law when I see him. Regarding beacon releases there's about five in total, I think ? Cheers
  25. Hiya, yep the jades on chippy counter. Had a similar cat experience, was working away for a long stint and one of my exes. Decided to put all my unboxed albums on show in those pine shelving units, for eleven weeks every single one on show became part of moggys scratching post. Cheers
