  1. And he’s still listing records on ebay. Could be losing a few more if he doesn’t reach his expected sales cost. Mind you that sack of shite (eBay) don’t want to know of my complaint. I’ve also had to contact PayPal to get my pending returns money.
  2. No he informed me he had lost it? If you believe that???
  3. Hi chaps we are going off-tack here. What about sourcing the Sam Fletcher record for £70 all-in.
  4. Well I can rise above it, just my moan for today but if you could find me a copy of Sam Fletcher on Original Tollie (condition not so important) for £70 all-in then it might cheer me up.
  5. Well maybe a bit strong? Duped more like. And I haven't got an instant repayment it is pending for how long?
  6. I'll p.m. you his name and seller name as I mentioned in my original post.
  7. Not to offend Phillipe but you are leading my post astray? There are dishonest sellers from all nationalities but in this case I have been conned by a Frenchman.
  8. He isn't telling the truth I feel. I've checked him out and he buys a lot but not sold much, so perhaps he is and has done the same to others. I have put in a complaint to ebay, what good that will do we shall see. A lesson to be learned I suppose, don't trust a Frenchman, no offence intended to any honest French members on this forum.
  9. Hi All Just wondered if any other member have had an episode similar to the one I have just encountered. Thought I'd won a record, beat up but fairly cheap. Paid for the record and actually messaged the seller to change postal address details. The seller then messages me to tell me he has lost the record and has refunded my money. Now being the cynical person I am I feel that he has realized it has sold too cheap and therefore done the Dirty. Also I cannot even give the person negative feedback on ebay as technically he hasn't sold me the record. I do not want to name and shame on here but if anyone wants his name they can contact me privately. Ian
  10. Found this post on a well known media site yesterday and just felt I needed to add to this one especially the comments made by another member who, in my opinion, is spot on with his comment. " NOPE....firstly hang around the promoter in a sycophantic way telling him how great his venue is...then go (just the once) just to show you're a soulie….then post up pictures of ya fav tunes (preferably rare)...saying how they might get a spin....then keep telling everyone on social media how you're so looking forward to spinning a few (even though you have never been to the venue and never will again)...show pics of ya record box ready and waiting. Go to said venue play a complete load of bollox sending folk home early.....post up afterwards what an honour it was ….then never set foot in the place again...…….sound/look familiar?"

  12. He obviously is missing the question. I thought he might realize and then edit, but hey ho it might sink in eventually?
  13. If anyone has anything it would be Pete Smith.
  14. Maybe on both? 2:45 on the Canterbury and 2:48 on the Soultown. That is if they can sing an extra verse in 3 seconds?
  15. Hi All Just purchased a copy of The Younghearts outing. Always been after the Canterbury original having been in possession of the boot and the later issues on zea (an issue and d.j. copy) and the Soultown one. I have noticed though that the title is Little Togetherness as opposed to A Little....So just wondered if this was a very early release as suggested by a good friend of mine. All the deadwax markings are as detailed as Mr. Manships specifications. Any input would be appreciated. Best. Ian

  18. It was a tram shed, with old slabs on the floor not a place to dance. The sound system was awful. But on the positive side I did hear for the first time, Saxie Russel, The Slow Fizz, Landslide and the Joker. Also remember the instrumental take of River Deep, Mountain High (not Les Mckann version) but have posted this on the forum before with no input.
  19. One of the Soul Artists missing from the poster were The Exciters as "Blowing Up My Mind" was a big play at that time. Would also be interested to know who the D.J's were?
  20. Visited a friends house this week to view his records to sell and we were mulling over the old times, as you do and I mentioned the All-nighter we attended in Leeds in 1974. Said he also went and even had an old poster he had acquired from outside. He mentioned his experiences of the the night and likewise myself and just wondered if any "older" members of this site had any fond memories? Also he may even sell the poster, although it is not the best of condition if anyone is interested?
