The atmosphere is not old school, it’s unique. It must be down to the intimate venue, that is attended largely by soul connoisseurs, listening to tunes played by some of the scene’s finest collectors and DJ’s. Event Date: 12 Jul 2024 Got to say this is my 2nd visit and the venue is superd and wonderful staff as for the music a perfect mix of all things soul it was a refreshing change. Friday was excellent great bunch of people and friends. Event Date: 13 Jul 2024 After checking for NS events that could be worth attending, our party decided to attend this event at Wootton Hall. Firstly the venue was very easy to find and there was an ample car park attached to the venue. So far so good.     Event: State Of Soul - Guest Djs Steve Plumb Bob Cosby Review: 5 stars by Allchilledout. Event Date: 13 Jul 2024 Our first visit to this great little venue and it didnt disappoint. Regular djs got this going with some lovely sets of anything from new releases to oldies. This theme of across the board was continued in the highest order, with two fantastic sets from Steve & Bob. The busy dancefloor was then treated to a spot of double decking from them to end our evening. A throughly enjoyable evening. Many thanks to all of those who made this happen.     Word just washed up about a new vinyl lp re-issue from New Jerseys Inner Groove Records Today's Youth...Tomorrow the World by Little Janice - Inner Groove Records IGR-002 Release notes follow below FINALLY! The FIRST EVER RE ISSUE OF THE LOST R&B/SOUL MONSTER, "Today's Youth...Tomorrow the World"! by Janice Tyrone aka "Little Janice" INNER GROOVE RECORDS IGR-002 Originally released in 1969 on the Pzazz Label, owned by Paul Gayten. Mr. Gayten was an American rhythm and blues bandleader, pianist, record company executive, producer and songwriter. Janice Tyrone came from Kingsville in SE Texas. Born in 1952 she was an accomplished guitarist in her own right. Sadly she only released this one LP and was not heard from again. Never re-issued in any formal ever, we proudly present the first! Pressed in a limited run of 333 LP’'s, individually hand numbered Original LP’s are very difficult to find and are costly-in the $400 range for a nice copy. Pressed on 180 gram heavy weight black vinyl, with the original cover intact.
