Dave Wilkins who like me has been around since the mid 60's now does a Ska / Reggae night on different dates from his regular soul nights at the Tamworth Progressive club - both worth a look if either are your thing. Good venue as well. Also I remember Tim Brown auctioning an absolute fantastic pounding Jamaican 45 a few years ago - made a note of it somewhere but it's lost - and I remember going to the Nite-Owl Birmingham a few yrs ago ( all-nighter) and a punter gave Carl & Maria Willingham some right stick for playing a reggae type sound. I told she'd better stick with George Pepp and the Tomangoes - So she did and dedicated them to me.

One of the major sellers' of major big ticket items for years - just look at this current listing - Chris Carnahan has been a reputable seller for decades - pre internet as well. Along with Carolina soul and others a bellweather for proper sounds and always 1st class service. None of the Global Shipping robbery. I've bought loads over the years. I can't imagine him not doing due process.

Any doubt leave it out - better safe than sorry. Any seller that does not provide provenance on a big ticket item has got to be treated as suspect.

Just had a look on popsike and 184 items over the multiple types of release recorded as sales items with individual values and bid history attached - so not really rare at all.

Geoff Meteliko got quite a few plays back in the early 90's maybe earlier -It was a cheaper alternative then as it is now, but personally always found either version a messy arrangement and off loaded pretty quickly. I suppose this also brings back the old chestnut - The definition of rare - Cajun Hart is not rare in my definition

Yes I know all about this 1956 recording artist and his classical / blue grass background - A much better sound than the Mike Pedicin version on Federal but thanks all the same.
