  1. 2 x £30 wristbands for sale for Prestatyn Weekender 2016 March (3rd - 6th) I'll be there from Thursday night.
  2. I'l pass your info on to Nick Cowan (of Stoke), who was one of the pioneering lovers of the music.
  3. A friend of mine knew him and in a nutshell, he liked the guy. I'm not old enough to have been around when he was around unfortunately. I'd love to read/hear his recollections and viewpoints as he is a very important figure in the history of the music I love. I would disappointed if he felt unable to speak now. If he was to appear on here (fingers crossed he will) maybe people who wished to air a grievance, could do so privately (message him directly) and not do so in the open? At least that way, it would be manageable and allow people like myself an opportunity to learn more, rather than just be an ignorant spectator to what could possibly turn into an assassination. On another note, I bet he'd find much to be impressed with today i.e. Redemption at Prestatyn. Fingers crossed I'll soon be able to read and learn more.
  4. A superb piece about an exceptional group, thank you. "How" was one of the first bunch of records that turned me onto soul music as a teenager and to this day, I still consider it a masterpiece.
  5. Some of the key omissions when it gets talked about on the likes of the BBC, i.e: Ian 'Pep' Pereira The Catacombs Tony Jebb & of course Simon Soussan
  6. Thank you Chris!
  7. Thank you, finding this changes my plans for Sunday.
  8. Have you a link to that please?
  9. A mate of mine (Nick Cowan, from Stoke) knew Simon back in the golden days... he remembers him fondly and one of several stories he told me was about the time that they were browsing through records together in a shop in London and Simon found Bobby Paris' "Personally" during their visit. It was high on my friend's wants list at the time. He then gave Simon a lift to the train station and Simon handed him the record as a thank you, for giving him a lift. He reckons he was a decent bloke who really knew his stuff (he owned c.50,000 7" singles by the end of the 70s) and I always prefer to believe eye witness accounts!
